Original inserts extra ticks to make perfect blocks.
Para differs from original that it creates parallel blocks. If the price moves one block in one direction and then reverts one block in opposite direction you will get two parallel blocks which doesn't happen in normal renko.

I developed also methods of backtesting EAs on renko charts - if used with recorded ticks, as accurate as recorded ticks are.

Firstly, back-testing on the latest MT4 platform is absolutely useless, especially renkos with small blocks. To do proper test you need build225 installation, loader and recorded ticks. All this is described at http://eareview.net/tick-data
I record my own ticks from my broker off real account, as I found out demos have very often different price feed (my EA trades different on real and different on demo, sometimes very different).
After you have your ticks - you can download them from few places or record your own - you need script to convert them into FXT file - used by back-tester of MT4 terminal - into renko chart. You can convert them into original renko or real renko, I prefer real renko, and parallel one proves to be really useful. Advantage of having real renko in FXT file is that there are no artificially introduced ticks to create renko blocks open and close prices and if I want to use original renko to calculate indicators - I have original renko generator built into my EAs and indicators calculated inside EAs based on renko generated. That way back-tester gets only real recorded ticks and EA can use either - real renko from FXT file or original renko generated by EA.
That is roughly how I do it.

Hello Jake, thank you for sharing this new version of the Renko indicator, when I dragged it onto the chart, nothing happens, I don't get the window where I can set properties and when do a right-click on the chart and go in the indicators list, it's not there, i was wondering if there's something that i'm doing wrong in loading the indicator onto the 1M chart. Thanks

They are EAs. They have to be put into "experts" directory, not "experts\indicators", and compiled. Then you put them on 1M chart, and open offline chart of period you set in EAs settings(it cannot be one of standard periods, EA will just refuse to work).

i try to apply to EU and GU at the same time
but it just work on EU only.
I am trading with renko for the past 2 years and I wish to use a ea designed by "trading system forex" using ergodic cci and it works well.

I want to add meta trader indicator cci and rsi black feet modded indicator as two addendum to the EA which is already well.

both to be set as true or false for entry and exit confirmations.

If any one is willing please pm me so that I can provide all details.

I can mostly offer 20$ for this simple EA than asking for a free help.

and the Need is URGENT.

You can use this EA.

Attach it to M1, and open offline M2.

I have made all indicators in one post , but I have devised more than 2 systems to trade renko., If you are willing make all those indicators into one chart, make a template -just 2 minutes of work - I have uploaded all indicators I use.

so take care before you make another request for a template., I felt bored answering you for the repeat chill querries you make.

sorry man I can't request god, I persever'd a lot for this and if u are willing to work or help do that in making a template with the loaded indicators in my thread and make an EA out of it.

Could someone explain how a moving average is calculated on offline
renko charts set to m2

If i place a 24 simple average is that 24 periods of m2?

I am just confused when setting indicator, moving average
like wanting to use a one hour rsi set to 14 what would i set this to on a
M2 offline renko ?

Hi

"m2" in an offline chart does not refer to the timeframe, as renko bars are not of equal duration.
"m2" is only a way to produce the chart history file so that it won't overwrite one of the "real" timeframe MT4 charts (like m1 or m5).

A 24-period MA is in essence an MA calculated on 24-consecutive-bars.
Plotting a 24MA on an offline chart (such as renko) will plot a 24-bars MA, which will not be related to time, but only to bars number.

A 24SMA on the "m2" renko chart will have nothing to do with "24 times 2-minutes-bars"

Hi.

According to my experience with the offline Renko charts:

If you want to place a MTF indicator, just be careful that the MTF has a higer timeframe than your offline chart. I have observed repainting for MTF indicators.

The normal indicators should be follow the information of your Renko bricks.

I stopped reading this forum when it degenerated into the usual indicator and EA postings. Can you tell me how you are doing with your simple support and resistance trading? I understand you trade at 00 GMT between S&R lines. Yours was the best, simplest system on the forum. Just wondering how you are doing with it now.
May I know is there any differences between an Indicator version compare to the expert version in RenkoLiveChart?
