Color MACD Histogram

Hello Forexers!

I was wondering if anybody knew of an MACD indicator that included color in it's histogram. Basically what I need is that if MACD is above zero, a histogram bar is one color if it is higher than or equal to the previous bar (blue?), and another color if it is lower than the previous bar (red?)... vice versa for when the MACD is below zero of course.

Any help would be appreciated!

Thanks for the file! I took a look at it - looks interesting but not quite what I need

Basically I am looking for an MACD that shows different colors in the Histogram area (the bars going up and down) depending on whether they are higher or lower than the previous bar. With the right settings I find the MACD is quite good at picking exits with optimal pips - a lot of trends are a nice smooth curve up and then down as the momentum peters out (like a hill). For a Long trade, I am looking for the first declining bar in the MACD histogram to take my exit (daily chart). It would be much easier visually if the bar was one color as it decreased, & another if it is increasing.

Another option would be to modify the existing MACD to include the code...

If ([bar that just closed] >= [previous bar]) then color[bar that just closed] = blue
If ([bar that just closed] < [previous bar]) then color[bar that just closed] = red

Not a clue how to actually program this hehe...

Does anyone have a histogram indicator that has the actual MACD histogram? The one shared above (the upper one in the pic) is just crappy old MT4 MACD, not a true histogram. I'm looking for a true MACD histogram indicator where rising values are one color and falling values are another, not just "above zero is green, below, red".

I'll give a moon pie and an RC Cola to anyone who can help me. LOL

I have seen exactly the one you describe but it's only working with fxcms trading station, not MT4,
I searched for one to MT4 before but so far no luck, I think it doesn't exist

That's the one. I guess I didn't investigate the MACD Reset thoroughly enough. I had to change it to 12,26,9 instead of 12,26,0.

Top is MACD Reset, bottom is something like MACD_Color_Hist_Alert or something of the sort...

I am looking for (single line) MACD.
I got one (middle MACD) but unable to change the colors.
Also got one (bottom MACD) but can't remove the numbers and letters.
Your one (top MACD) I think it suits me.
Do you care to share?
Or anyone has it, pls. share?

Here ya go.

The bottom one is my favorite. It has a lot of custom settings including MTF and the ability to have falling histogram values one color and rising another, as apposed to just one color for positive and one for negative.

Hi I can see this thread is somewhat old now but I cant start a new thread. I have a MACD indicator which does all that was mentioned in the original post but I would also like the signal line to change colour according to its direction, can anyone with this one please?
