Basically what I want to do is try to backtest a method that opens both buy and sell orders at the same times every day.
I just want to be able to plug in all the variables (SL, TP, hour, etc) and experiment to see which comes out best. I thought I could do this with the straddle EA or Amazing EA, but I've had no luck. I think the problem getting to to realize they'll do the same thing every day. If I'm understanding it correctly, right now they just want to do it once and that's it.
Any ideas on how to fix this?
Additionally, how do you guys usually go about backtesting ideas for systems? Doing it manually takes a helluva long time and is too easy to make errors. I'm not neccessarily interested in having an EA do all the work (though I'm not entirely opposed to it), but just getting an idea of
of the viability of a system with different parameters. It's so daunting to try and do it manually.
