Let's see if there will be breakout. I am still in short trade with 50% stop loss.
I am at BE +20 pips if it reaches 149.00

The whole area looks like a mine field. If price indeed break this level there is possibility it can still stall between 149.35-149.99 and then 148.57-148.00

A lot of support. If we check weekly chart G/J is in huge downtrend. Within this time frame we have been in retracement. If it is true it might be along way down.

Folks,

My intention is not to attack anybody, but please save me and other members some time and stop sending posts which don't bring anything valuable to this strategy.

Posts about the size of your box or that you just went long or short and it hit SL/TP1/S/R or that you're going to try this or that... are just useless for the majority of readers.

I look at this thread every day and noticed that recently it's just clicking "next page" as many posts don't bring anything.
It's far better when you're willing to try some modification, backtest it and show the results to public if these are promising.

Please save my and others time and keep chatting in a separate topic, unless it's something worth reading.

Thank you.

Yup, may be will do the same next week but I think it will have not much effect because GBP/JPY mainly is referring to Japan and UK only.

Btw, I don't trade U/J also because the U/J movement is too slow if compare to G/J or E/J.

I fail to get any profit on the strategy because of news.... Initially the strategy is right and it is on the right trend but when during news announcement, the price fluctuated too fast and big range.... Lost the at last...

Fair enough, and you're right there has been a lot of commentary in the thread lately that is not too important for learning purposes. Hint hint, shiko, 28 posts in the last 24 hours. I'm sure that's a record for this thread. The nature of this strategy requires lots of waiting around. So I can understand you wanting to post to pass the time but quite a few times its just that...passing time. I don't mind reading it because I know this system like the back of my hand and I don't get confused with non related posts. But sometimes new comers feel as though they're missing important information if they don't read everything. Lets respect that. It also makes us sound smarter when we say 'read the thread'.

That's a message to anyone who plans on posting more then 20 times in the thread in a single day.

The Legend of Trader Scott and Whipsaw Mountain
. . .

Once upon a time, Trader Scott decided to climb Whipsaw Mountain. Almost immediately, he was attacked by a runaway bull. Wounded but not willing to give up, Trader Scott recuperated quickly and one day later was on Whipsaw Mountain again. Out of nowhere appeared a wild bear, and again Trader Scott was wounded.

Trader Scott was not one to give up easily, and asked himself "Should I head to Whipsaw Mountain for a third time this week?"

Just then Princess Pips appeared...

To add to that...commentary to a certain level is fine, but after a certain level in one day, it becomes too much. No hard feelings

Anyway, quick losing week on both sides. Risk was reduced, as stated before the trades were taken, because of the holiday in UK.

I'm looking at a 4.96% loss.
2.72% on the short trade
2.24% on the long trade

Waiting for next week, hopefully a better one.

That was a great story Yen! My favorite though is the one about the three little burro's, and the big bad Yen.

Wrenski - To answer your question Trader Scott does also have a burro fetish. My amigo Yen owns a burro brothel in Guatalelupa Mehico, and he got me hooked on some burro fetish. He started off waiving the hour fee... but now that I'm hooked he charges me full price. The best is the trick he does with a burro, and a gag ball!

On my chart it showed yesterday 20 pips short of TP1, so I set on BE without +20 pips and decided to add 20 pips after TP1 is broken.
You gotta agree that leaving 160 pips unprotected is not a good idea.

My longside entry made a surge, but fell back for a stop out at breakeven.

I think like you about OANDA. My stops always are hit for 1 pips and go to profit when I´m stopped out.

I think in light of what is happening we simply should put stop loss not exactly on BE but few pips behind. may be sacrifice spread. It has sense. Last week I missed TP3 move and I think probability is really high that there will be at least TP2 move down on G/J. It is a lot to miss. 4% for me.
