You can try resizing the array to rates_total.

Are you looking for the highest high or for the highest close?
Because your code is looking for High[] of the iHighest[MODE_HIGH] not for Close[] of the iHighest[MODE_CLOSE]...
So, you are getting what you coded.
With MODE_HIGH your are getting the High of the candle with the HighestHigh.
With MODE_CLOSE you are getting the High of the candle with the HighestClose.
Because you are doing High[], not Close[]...
IOW, High[i] returns the High price of candle with index i.
Close[i] returns the Close price of candle with index i.

Good day everyone,
Could someone please tell me why my MT4 platform (IC Markets) would have "Very High Power usage" when I have 11 templates open, one of which is a RENKO chart?
CPU is anything from 4% to 14%; Memory 443MB; Disk 0,1MB/s.

Thanks BestTraderEV... this morning I found the error: it was correct to use MODO_CLOSE but my mistake was thinking that I had to use High[] to get the highest "close" that iHighest() could find and that wasn't the case... I changed it to Close [], just as you explained and it worked correctly. Thanks Bro!

It's not the Renko, at least not the ovo.cz Renko.
It's all the other indicators.
Unfortunately, it's not possible to remotely diagnose your templates and the indicators...
Also unfortunately, most indicators are not optimised, by which I mean that they recalculate all bars on every tick.
Theoretically, the for loops should only calculate all bars on first run, and after that they should only calculate the new bars.

I invite experienced programmers -- most specifically anyone who has provided indicators that download and display the FF weekly news file(s) -- to explore and incorporate my open-source 'get_FF_news(...)' solution to the new, August 2024, ForexFactory limit on downloads (2x per 5 minutes).

The demand for the free weekly FF news file(s) has exploded to over 4 BILLION downloads per month! To reduce this excessive demand, FF has implemented the limit. When programs do not coordinate and share the downloaded file(s), the limit is easily exceeded, resulting in a useless page (instead of raw data):

My solution -- to fix the 'demand' side -- is to handle asynchronous requests by multiple programs, on multiple charts, by either MT4 and/or MT5 programs. This is only a solution *if* the various weekly news programs adopt my code (or similar) that will coordinate and share the downloaded file(s) in the Common/Files/ folder.

Comments and alternative solutions are welcome.

NOTE: I've only provided code to *download* and share the weekly news file(s). By itself, it would not be useful to MT4/MT5 users, because it does not display any news events on a chart. The target audience is MQL4/MQL5 experienced programmers.

Could be something to watch from each Monday once the monthly has established a directional move, I guess.

Also, when there is a suffix, the pair click to select and highlight does not work, while market closed at least, although the time frame does show, see the chart.

And you need the correct separator, here is the list for 28 pairs with suffix "a" plus ";" and "," if you want that

Yes that is something I overlooked when updating and using the old dashboard code so I have updated it and removed the restriction on the number of characters allowed in the Symbols. NOTE : Any Symbols larger than 10 characters (characters include full stops commas etc ) may have a character cut off but should still work as it would only be a display issue.

can anyone fix it?

i tried various for about a week but not successful

1) make all fibo levels as custamable as -100, -50, 0, 50, 100, 150 etc with horizontal lines limited from start to end points (like no rays) only
2) both previous (last) and current fibo projections should start with fibo 0 and end with 100
if you can please post mq4 file

Hi CJA or other platform cracks

is there a limit how many indicators ( experts also ) the MT4 can handle?
I have to reduce the numbers of files, otherwise new attached indicators or experts will not displayed in the MT4
I work with link shell; all indicators and experts are located in a demo MT4 so I have to update one place only

Hello to All,

I am looking breakeven line for multiply orders indicator for MT4 which have push notification when price return (either from profit or loss) and touch to the Breakeven Line? May have option price touches the exact breakeven Line or – or + x pips above or below the breakeven Line.
