I have not had time yet to trade today.
Missed out on some crackers!Ignored
DislikedThe demo trade for CHF/JPY is still open on the SAR strategy.
86.16 entry price now 84.908
Up 125 pips!!!!
But as I mentioned before, to fully test the most effective techniques between the 2 exit strategies, I'll do 10 Live trades with the exit strategy that you recommend and the same 10 trades on the demo account using the SAR exit strategy.
When entering a trade the initial stop will be set as you had suggested (high of signalling candle + spread) but from there on will follow the SAR. I'll be posting the comparative analysis and pip difference...Ignored
DislikedOk sounds good.
The nzd/usd is getting there - not the most explosive move I have ever seen!
Signals looked good though for the shortIgnored

DislikedHi Delta,
My exit strategy includes goign to b/e after 20-40 pips (dependent on pair) and taking profit based on MACD or s/r.
Is this what you will be using for the live?
I would suggest as this is a test to run both strategies on demo until you ge the hang of the exit strategies.Ignored
1: 17/4/08 S.CHF/JPY SAR (30min 0.15, 0.07, 0.08)
Enter: 8616.9+61.9 Live: Exit 1st TP: 8555 +61.9
+118.4 Demo: Exit Fast Trix Green: 8498.5DislikedI closed on the demo, as the exit strategy is if any one of the 3 methods show a signal.. you get out.
3 signals are:
1. Fast trix turns Green
2. ADX breaks trend line
3. RSI breaks trend line
The CHF/JPY signalled from exit number 1.
But then it signalled the other 2 as well but I had exited the trade by then.
The Fast trix is a leading indicator and can get you out of sharp reversal trends.. This trend just ran out of steam.

DislikedI closed the NZD/USD on Live, and closed half on demo
In accordance to the systematic comparison, I'll consider this one closed on the demo too as it crossed the RSI trend line.
I have also uploaded the indicators requested.
THV3 Trix v4.01 is the one I use
THV3 Trix for MTFHisto is version 5 (beta) customised
and THV RSI which is the flashy RSI indicator with nice colours.

Dislikedhi to maximise the returns for any trade you are looking for whats not possible only the big few who control the whole thing can tell you that the market manipulators: but for us mere mortals try using bollinger bands and the williams ind its like rsi but faster it depends on your time frame but basically using candles in an uptrend away from the lower band when a candle spike touchesor goes near a band and as it does the williams reverses then get out it wont work for anything over an hourly chart cos you have to sit there and watch it looking...Ignored
DislikedHello Al and all,
I have backtested your system in the weekend a little bit and I was happy with the result obtained.
I noticed that you place your sl at the entry candle high/low. Have you ever considered placing the sl at the previous swing high/low instead?
