Candles- fat part vs tail/stem

How would one go about differentiating with code a candle that has a tail/stem hit a line vs one that has the fat part of the candle hit a line?

if the price was below, check to see if the high crossed compared to the close. if the high did but the close did not then the wick crossed but the body did not.

if price was above you would use the low and the close.
