DislikedSo USD/JPY just broke the intervention lows. It's 4 pm in NY, and some moron is buying.......if you have missed the move like I have - YOU HAVE MISSED THE MOVE, PERIOD.
I haven't even considered trading this thing yet. It will be interesting to see what happens if the morons in DC don't get it together this weekend, this pair could fall hard. Wonder if the BoJ steps in at that point? They are talking, so I wouldn't rule it out......Ignored
DislikedMan, if we could just get a coach and a system that compares some what to Europe (yea, we will never have the club team system they do) and we can get kids to realize that you don't have to play in the NFL to make millions, and if you are not athletic enough to play in the NFL, but still damn athletic, if you work at soccer you can make millions there, then maybe we will be a power at soccer.
It is sad, while soccer is the biggest sport in the world, it is probably #5 or #6 in the USA.Ignored
DislikedWow! Klinsmann eh, that guy knows how to score goals. He's probably one of the best forwards there have been and certainly one of the very best of his time. He wasn't a pretty boy like Ronaldo or your beloved Dutch players like Gullit, Riijkard or Van Basten and his goals were often not very pretty either, but he won games. Very German in other words - ugly, square but ruthlessly efficient. (Apologies to any German reading this, no offense intended.)
I think the US national team could do A LOT worse...Ignored
DislikedI would agree w/ this, and I normally do agree w/ WG. (How you been man????)Ignored
DislikedIt is growing in popularity because we start kids at 2 and 3 years old in soccer. But by the time kids get into high school, there is a lot less opportunity and a lot less "status" of being a soccer player v. an American football player. So we have tons of guys, who if they focused on soccer could have been out best national player, that end up playing football and never play a down of professional football. Almost like wasted athletes.Ignored

DislikedI was 16 years old when the world cup came to the USA in 1994, and this was summer of the MLB strike. So not only was the World Cup in the USA, but it was the same summer there was no baseball.

DislikedI was 23 that summer. I followed Holland around the country, and had a fucking blast. I was going from one city to another, and saw them play several times. (I also saw Belgium/Germany, USA/Switzerland, and Italy/Ireland) I remember calling back to my roommate at the time and telling him to take some of my stuff to the pawn shop and wire me more money every time I ran out. (I was originally slated to go to just two games.) I ended up selling everything I owned with the exception of my clothing and the P.O.S. '85 Toyota truck I was driving at the...Ignored

Disliked"I also like to "pick my spots". Subs will sometimes follow a ship for miles waiting for that "perfect shot"."
this is a great point, but you also make a good point about getting out of a trade. A CO will spend much more time planing his escape once the trigger is pulled, than he will on when to pull it!
keep up the good work.Ignored
