I would like to introduce Wolf Blackout Trader, a non-repainting trend-and-momentum indicator for MetaTrader 4 and MT5 built around a dual Range Filter engine and a partial-hit take-profit ladder. Two Range Filters — Fast and Slow — run side by side to classify the active regime, tint each candle by trend direction, and keep signals aligned with the higher-horizon trend. On top of that sits a five-layer confluence scorer, a counter-trend Reversal Detector based on RSI, and a full trade visualization that draws Entry, Stop Loss, and five take-profit levels on the chart for every signal. A 22-row multi-timeframe dashboard gives live feedback across six timeframes.
THE CORE IDEA
Standard trend indicators often react too quickly in chop or too slowly in clean trends. Wolf Blackout Trader solves that by using two Range Filters at once: a faster filter for intraday momentum and a slower filter for structural trend. When both agree, the chart enters a bullish or bearish blackout regime and the candle tint makes the state obvious at a glance.
That regime is then checked against five confluence layers before a signal is considered valid. The result is a cleaner workflow: you still see every setup, but only the stronger ones rise to the top.
HOW IT WORKS
Dual Range Filter Engine
The indicator runs two Range Filters in parallel. The Fast filter uses Length 32 with Sampling Factor 1.67. The Slow filter uses Length 89 with Sampling Factor 6.0. Each draws upper and lower bands around a smoothed mid-line. Price closing above both filters with the Fast filter rising defines a bullish blackout regime; the inverse defines a bearish one. The bar tint follows the active regime, so you can judge the trend immediately without checking extra windows.
Five-Layer Confluence Scoring
Every raw signal is scored through five independent layers:
- Range Trend — Fast Range Filter slope must agree with the trade direction.
- RSI Side — RSI above 50 for buys, below 50 for sells.
- EMA Trend — price above trend EMA for buys, below for sells.
- HTF EMA — price above higher-timeframe EMA for buys, below for sells.
- Volume Burst — current bar volume must meet or exceed the 20-bar volume SMA.
Each passing layer adds one point. Disabled layers award a free point so the score is never artificially reduced. Signals are labeled with stars from 1 to 5, so you can instantly see how many conditions aligned.
Reversal Detector
Wolf Blackout Trader also includes a counter-trend Reversal Detector. It uses RSI(28) with extreme thresholds at 78 and 27. A bullish reversal fires when RSI crosses up out of oversold on a confirmed close. A bearish reversal fires when RSI crosses down out of overbought. These reversal markers use diamonds instead of normal trend arrows, so they stand out clearly from continuation signals.
Stop Loss + 5-TP Ladder
When a signal fires, the indicator draws Entry, Stop Loss, and five take-profit levels directly on the chart. SL is set as a configurable percentage from entry, default 1.0%. TP levels are set at 0.5%, 1.0%, 1.5%, 2.5%, and 4.0% by default, and every percentage is fully configurable. Hit detection runs bar by bar. TP1 through TP5 keep their hit status even if price retraces later. The trade closes when TP5 or SL is hit.
Multi-Timeframe Dashboard
The 22-row dashboard is built for fast reading. It reports:
- Header with brand and current symbol/timeframe.
- Market Context with regime, price-vs-Fast filter, and price-vs-Slow filter.
- Multi-Timeframe Trend across 5m, 15m, 30m, 1h, 4h, and D1.
- Confluence with live buy/sell scores, stars, and minimum threshold.
- Active Signal with direction, bars-ago, entry, SL, and TP1 through TP5 hit status.
- Performance with win/loss count, total signals, TP hits, and SL hits.
It can be placed in six positions and scaled in four sizes, so it works on both compact and large chart layouts.
HOW TO TRADE IT
Enter at the open of the bar after the signal bar. Use the confluence score as your main filter. A 5-star setup is the strongest signal the indicator can produce, especially when the Fast and Slow Range Filters agree and the higher-timeframe EMA confirms direction.
For trade management, scale out gradually. TP1 and TP2 are the natural partial exits. Move stop to breakeven after the first strong extension if you want to protect capital. On lower timeframes, use a higher confluence threshold and pay close attention to the reversal diamonds near TP levels — they can signal exhaustion before the full ladder completes.
The scanner is most useful when the higher timeframes agree. H1 and H4 are the cleanest for swing entries. M5 and M15 work best when the confluence threshold is stricter and only the strongest signals are traded.
