By dedicating a thread to TPT, the goal is to create a focused space where:

Prop Hub 2.0 is a great resource, but when many firms are discussed together, it can be challenging to locate the specific information you need about one firm. Having dedicated threads for each major prop firm such as Blue Guardian Futures, Lucid, FundingTicks, or Topstep would allow traders to benefit from focused, organized information and community support for each firm individually. This approach helps everyone find what they need more efficiently and encourages deeper, more meaningful discussions about each firm’s unique features and challenges.

All right, all right, all right, I was hoping others might have taken a lead from this thread and opened more prop firms, but no interest yet. Look at the Broker Discussion forum, there are threads for each individual broker, right? Feel free to copy and paste post one from this thread if you want, change the name of course.

Anyway, TPT latest (?) and / or always current promotion below. Almost seems to be against FF rules on Commercial agenda; I guess they realize that members are not having a Commercial agenda, only referencing the Prop firms advertising.


If you are waiting to get involved, just do it. I knew way back that Binary Options were a scam, but this a completely different level, you have to be in it to win it.

What size is your account?

25k the best

150k is the best account size (to me). There is more reward at the end. You can do 15 contracts. Imagine trading copy trading 5 accounts in live. Marking an extra buffer of $60k to 70k on top of your $4500. Then you can trade 15 contracts and make mad money …. The Lanto way

true but 25k is sure shot passer... And then spend time on pro... I did the same passed 25k and turned it 10k+ in less than a week each account. Now on PRO+ got 5 x1500$ accounts and now alreaady crossed threshold so best part is eligible for payout very fast.... My maths says 25k is the the BEST

With NO consistency we can leverage our profitable day profits to convert to MONSTER DAY

Recently, I decided to try prop with TFT as well. After many years of own small account trading experience, why not try once this. At first, it looks that they provide big capital, but indeed, we should better assume that it is just 4500 capital at 150.000 account and they expect from us 9000 profit for passing eval.

Not so easy, we should triple the account actually (because we don't have actually big flexibility, only %3 max drawdown (4500 = is the usable/riskable real capital), so better not to use the big leverage which they provide).

But it is also doable with discipline. %2 profit (of 4500) per day take you to the Pro step at around 60 days. And it looks that usable capital will be more and more after you become Pro, becasue minimum required balance that we should be above is fixed at initial balance (150k). At begin, it is 146.500 for 150k account and after you reach to/beyond 154.500, min required balance is fixed at 150.000. That looks very nice. If you can pass the eval and increase your capital until 170k, 180k, 200k, then real game/joy start with significant usable/riskable capital, as far as I understand. Of course, if you don't withdraw your profits immediately and let your acc grow.

Rule to close at 17.00 EST and open again after 18.00 EST is annoying but nothing to do. Also, no micro for all instruments. It seems that I will trade only micro SP500 and Gold.

It would be nice to have, but not a big deal. I trade already mostly SP500 and Gold recently.

Okay, Mini Silver is there, ah, no micro, you're right, but best to stick with one instrument at a time I reckon.

I don't like this review, too superficial. Also, I would never go with a recurring "subscription", nor a trailing drawdown (and certainly not an intraday one)..

You're probably right but which has those conditions?

Never mind, I breached my account and will be taking a break from Prop trading for several reasons:

1. Quit while about $500 USD ahead
2. Just been trading gold, missing the US moves due to being in Australia
3. Trading on 5-minute chart is too intense, just get whipsawed
4. Great when I catch a move, don't know how montygoldy does it, but usually when I enter, price reverses like it's programmed to my account

So, I hope anyone that has success with TPT can take over and keep the thread alive!

Sorry to hear that! Things are not so good on my side too. I resetted my TFT test account. I will stop with TFT if I fail again. Nothing wrong with them so far, just maybe Future Trading is nor for me. I don't like to not able to hold my positions overnight.

I will probably try FTMO. It is possible to hold positions overnight/weekend with Swing account type (leverage is 1:30) and also no need to avoid news trading.

But again, prop trading is an opportunity but not as easy as it looks.
