I finally had time to create a concise breakdown of the scalping strategy I’ve been using on the Nasdaq Futures (NQ). The strategy combines structural zones with real-time order flow confirmation and a simple VWAP filter for directional bias. It's designed for quick, high-probability trades with tight risk.
Chart Setup

1. Execution Timeframe: M1 or M5
2. Context Timeframe: M15 or H1 used as a higher-timeframe overlay (like a minimap) to define structural zones and directional bias
3. Tools:
   1. VWAP (session-based)
   2. Simple Moving Average (as a visual trend guide)
   3. Footprint chart with CVD (Cumulative Volume Delta)
   4. Fixed Volume Profile (to mark out POC, VAL, VAH)

Strategy Foundation
The goal is to take scalps from key structural areas that have been defined in advance, using order flow and volume to confirm intent. The idea is to react at high-probability zones, not chase moves in open space.
Entry Conditions

1. Zone-Based Location
   1. Entry is only considered at or near:
      1. Order Blocks
      2. Point of Control (POC)
      3. Value Area Low/High (VAL/VAH)
      4. Major swing highs/lows
      5. Key Fib retracement levels

   2. These zones are identified on M15/H1 and plotted on the low timeframe chart.

2. Volume/Delta Confirmation
   1. Look for signals of absorption, imbalance, or aggressive positioning:
      1. CVD divergence or delta shift against price
      2. Large negative delta in a demand zone (or vice versa)
      3. Rejection of strong delta prints followed by low-volume bounce

   2. Doesn’t require a classic divergence — I often take setups where a large delta flush gets absorbed in the zone.

3. VWAP Bias
   1. This is a key filter:
      1. Longs are only taken when price is below VWAP
      2. Shorts are only taken when price is above VWAP

   2. This keeps trades in sync with session context and broader flow.

4. Trigger/Entry Signal
   1. Rejection candle, imbalance print, or sharp absorption near zone
   2. Wait for confirmation that the zone is being defended
   3. No anticipation entries — always reactive

Trade Management

1. Stop-Loss: Tight SL just behind the zone (typically 2–4 ticks beyond the invalidation level)
2. Take-Profit 1 (Trim): At the nearest opposing structure or liquidity level
3. Take-Profit 2 (Runner): Optional, let it run if price develops momentum
4. Breakeven Adjustment: SL often moved to breakeven once price moves in favor by 1R or more

Example Setup

1. Price pulls into a 15-min demand zone aligned with POC
2. CVD shows aggressive sellers, but price does not break down
3. VWAP is above price → long bias is valid
4. Price prints a strong rejection candle
5. Entry taken on confirmation, stop below zone, first target at prior high
6. Goal: Secure entry extremly fast and place sl to BE as quick as possible, trim profits on the go

got any recent updates mate? just got use to this Market Profile. i'm using Fabio's & Carmine methods. but on ticks (13) and M1.

i might revive this thread again if i get time for now i am testing out crypto trading which uses a very similair attempt like here BUT with more focus on DOM and footprint.
