Hello dear community,

I have been looking for a stable trading system for a long time and would like to share my BBMA template/profile here. I think most of you have already heard of the BBMA strategy. It was developed by Oma Ally and in my opinion this strategy contains of the most important pillars in the form of indicators that you need for a successful trading system.

Basically, the simplest and most effective form of trading with the BBMA strategy is about timing a trade in the direction of a major trend from the end of a correction on a higher time frame.

I am opening this thread for traders, especially for traders who are still looking for a good system with a lot of potential.

At the beginning it seems complicated to develop a general understanding of BBMA, but that gets better over time. The advantages of the BBMA are manifold and I would like to list a few here...

- A trend following system with the ability to recognize momentum, reentries on different TFs in a trend, loss volume in a trend (start of a bigger correction or a reversal). With BBMA you are able to recognize the cycle of trend, correction, trend, reversal.

- Trading higher TFs with multi TF analysis (W1 to M5)

- Trading from the end of a correction on higher TFs

- Trading in the direction of the trend on higher TFs

- Timed entries on a smaller TF for a very good risk reward ratio. (SL on M5-M15, TP on H1,H4,D1,W1)

- Gaining an understanding of the end of a correction to the resumption of the larger trend.

So if anyone is interested in getting to grip with the BBMA system and putting some work into it, I would be very happy. I think this system is worth it. There is so much more to say about BBMA, but for now I would first like to see if there is anyone here who shares my interest or is trading BBMA too. For example, we could form a little workgroup and exchange information about setups in the current market or if someone just wants to know more about BBMA, I could of course help a little. I started learning BBMA about a few months ago. That means that I still have a lot to learn too.

Please don't ask me about any win rates or other statistical things, because I haven't developed them yet. But from experience and intuition, I can say that the BBMA strategy is the best and most promising form of trading that I have seen so far. My problem is simply that I don't stick with things consistently and that's why I thought about forming a small working group here to help myself too. So if you're interested, you can get involved in this thread. If there is no interest, that is of course not a problem for me. Everything is possible, nothing is necessary....

I have stored the indicators, template, profile and symbolset for MT5 in the rar file. Please make sure you have disabled the DLL import option in the settings of mt5 if you are using .ex5 files.

I have also created a summary of the BBMA system in a PDF file. Since I am still learning BBMA myself, it is possible that some things in the PDF are not 100% correct yet. I will make an update to this PDF as soon as possible when my own knowledge has expanded.

Hey!

I havent really traded BBMA, but always found it interesting. I have seen some badass BBMA Traders!
My advice would be to see it more as your personal Journal... with potential hundreds of People eyeing, if you are able to stick with something finally.

That should motivate!

As a total BBMA noob, it would be great to see how you find setups. And all the other great things you told are possible with BBMA!

I have seen the Trading system. There are a few YouTube video's from Oma Ally, though they are not in English. It is a solid trading strategy though I have not been able to grasp it. I would sure be interested in following your Journey. So, I encourage you and would join you to give you my moral support.

Yes, unfortunately his videos are not available in English. However, there are a few channels that are good and in English too.

I am not sure if I have enegy to participate here. So much going on. But I have played with BBMA and have developed some indicators. Let's se how this develops.

There were several BBMA threads in Forex Factory.

Some were by scammers to prey on innocent people.

The last one I know was moved to Recycle Bin.

The BBMA system is structured as follows:


Bollingerbands (20, 2.0)

The functions of the Bollinger Bands are several,

1. Identification of ranging market or trending market
2. Identification of low volatility or high volatility
3. Identification of Extreme, MHV, CSD, CSM

EMA (50)

EMA 50 is used to identify an uptrend or a downtrend,

EMA 50 above the mid BB = Downtrend
EMA 50 below mid BB = Uptrend

LWMA 510 Zones

The LWMAs form reentry zones,

LWMA 5 High and LWMA 10 High form the reentry sell zone
LWMA 5 Low and LWMA 10 Low form the reentry buy zone

The complete BBMA Cycle

In the BBMA Strategy there are 7 basic terms that you have to understand first. These terms form a complete BBMA Cycle.
I took a good example image from the internet to save a little time. I hope this doesn't pose a problem.

1. Extreme
2. TPW
3. MHV (MLV)
4. CSAK (CSD)
5. Reentry (after CSAK, CSD)
6. Momentum (CSM)
7. Reentry (after Momentum, CSM)

Hey community, The explanations for each individual part of the 7 components may seem very confusing at first. I will now go into the basic functions of each individual component and explain it later in a summary so that it should be easy to understand for most people.

1. Extreme

An Extreme is a signal and not yet a trading setup. It is the first stage in the BBMA Cycle. There are 4 different types of Extreme:

1. Extreme Type A: LWMA 5 high closes above the upper BB or LWMA 5 low closes below the lower BB

2. Extreme Type B: Bullish candle rejects upper BB or bearish candle rejects lower BB

3. Magic Extreme: LWMA 5 + LWMA 10 closes both either upper BB or lower BB (very rare but powerfull)

First trading setup in the BBMA Cycle

(bearish example)

After an Extreme you have to wait for a confirmation candle to pass the low of the last candle. Here you can sell with a SL over the last high and the the TP on LWMA 5 or 10 low. This TP is called TPW Take Profit Wajib, which translated into English means: you have to do tp here. TPW ist the second stage in the cycle.

This setup is the weakest setup in the BBMA strategy in my opinion. I hardly use it at all. The risk reward ratio is not so good compared to the following BBMA trading setups.

3. MHV/MLV

After 1. Extreme and 2. TPW have been explained, we move on to the 3rd component MHV. To keep it simple, we use MLV for the abbreviation MHV, which stands for Market Loss Volume.

After several extremes have developed, the market eventually starts to lose volume. This becomes noticeable when the price no longer makes it to the upper or lower BB. This is a sign of weakness and it is then assumed that the market is losing volume.

MLV can appear in many different forms and is not always easy to interpret. For example, MLV can appear as a double top, head and shoulders or a quasimodo formation. There are also other MLV appearances and I believe that this is the most difficult part of the BBMA strategy to master.

There are traders who already trade the MLV directly, there are special options, but I am not sure if this is part of the original BBMA strategy.

I think using the Sup/Res Script I have already coded does the job the easiest.. unless Traders are more creative and have a better idea how to identify that.

4. Csak/CSD

After it is clear that MLV has taken place, we find our confirmation in a Csak or in english CSD (Candle Stick Direction). Since the market no longer has enough volume to continue its trend, it is now very likely that a major correction or even a complete trend change will occur.

CSD occurs in two forms, a riskier variant early CSD and a normal variant CSD. After a CSD, the better setups of the BBMA strategy come into play. I will show an example with early CSD and an example with a normal CSD, whereby the early CSD is much riskier than the normal CSD.

After a CSD or an early CSD signal, we wait until the price corrects to the 510 sell zone to take a sell trade to the lower BB. Without the multi timeframe variant, the trades are not quite as good. Once I have explained all 7 stages, it is definitely best to discuss the multi timeframe variant for trades with low risk and high reward.

Hi CogAlpha,

yes, supply and demand areas in MLV zones are definitely a must. But I think it makes the most sense to include them in the multi-timeframe analysis.

in the beginning you said the 50EMA decides the Trend, but in your CSD example you show a potential Sell above the 50EMA.
Do you use the 50EMA for different Setups, but for CSDs you dont need it?
