DislikedI don't think it's another topic. a trader who does well, finds these opportunities (maybe not totally riskless) but and fact of the matter is Sim, those opportunities are present, so would it be called gambling? No it would be called awesome... that's what it would be called.Ignored

You know, it may just be a childhood thing. Father was a gambler, lost all the house keeping funds, children had to walk to school instead of being taken in a car. You know, that sort of thing.Ignored

DislikedAs I said, depends on your definition of gambling. I think it's called trading, not gambling. If you don't know how to trade or a bad trader, it's little more then gambling.
Just because you're 'trading' doesn't mean you're not gambling, but at the same time it doesn't mean you are, so it depends on the trader and what he is doing. basicly, what I'm trying to say is, you can't call every trader a gambler.Ignored
DislikedAre you into institutional or heaven forbid, insider trading? Riskless stuff, without charts, going very well and so on. Do you care to tell us about those good arbs?
BTW gambling could be defined as this. A game of ticks, with money, without knowing the outcome. Doesn't have to be a coin toss of course.Ignored
DislikedI'm yo could say gambling EJ will go higher.
BUT I wouldn't call it gambling, for instance I know the odds are in my favour, and my SL is already at +1pip, so there is no effective risk and potentially 4x's the profit potential than my initial SL ( 40pips profit, 10sl )
Thats not gambling thats smart
Ofcourse ej's turned into a dead sideways pig but you get the point, thats an event possibility with no way to predict toIgnored
