optimizing a MT5 EA on an older computer?

Hi,
got an old machine i've in the past used for backtesting MT4 with tickstory data.

I've got an mt5 ea i want to test. first couple of tries have resulted in machine dragging to a standstill.

Can anybody point me in the direction of any good articles on setting up Mt5 for backtesting and forward optimization on an older machine?

Possible reasons:
1. not enough disk space
2. not enough RAM
3. a problem with the EA itself
4. the computer is way too old and it's below the MT5 system requirements; not very likely

By the way, MT5 is perfect for multi-core tick data optimization (see picture). Unlike MT4, which is capable of utilizing only one core.
But if the computer has very few cores, the difference won't be huge.
