Disliked1. Fair Value 2. Position Building 3. Grid 1. Trading fair value as a target saves a lot of time for the first TP, basicly it's very straight and deviation starts after it hits fair value. 2. Sometimes it takes too much time to hit TP, while others are very quick 3. There's not trend after target is determined, so grid has also advantages when it's automated. For example, if you scalp with 10 pips, it will fill the bucket. Every style has it's own disadvantages and advantages, except fair value as a target. Targets should be firm as SteelIgnored

But you can find the edge when you can identify the value (undervalued/overvalued) of certain instrument, but that under/over valuation returns to the fair value/mean within short-term. Sometimes the value offer very good opportunity (like 100 pips), and sometimes few pips. As a proof of my word, look at USDCAD.
