the idea is to have one universal thread for trading any currency pair or commodity or indexes , basically anything that can be traded for profit.

this should avoid those dull times when a particular pair cannot be traded, plus shaing news and economic events which can affect trades.

  1. uk monetary policy
  2. ecb monetary policy / rate hike
  3. uk pm


so Wednesday ans Thursday will be very volatile

i have no idea of uk politics or how it will affect the gbp......

as for trades, i am long nothing.... and have no intentions of being long anything this entire month.....

currently short the nzdcad, audcad, audusd, nzdusd, eurcad ...... will be short within 24 hours, the gbpusd, eurusd, gbpjpy, eurjpy and possibly the eurchf......

this should be an above average week.....h

The escalating energy row between Moscow and the West is set to occupy investors’ attention in the week ahead after Moscow vowed to keep its main gas pipeline to Germany shut. The European Central Bank is set to deliver a big rate hike to combat soaring inflation. Federal Reserve Chair Jerome Powell is due to make an appearance before the central bank goes into its blackout period before its next meeting. Stocks will likely remain volatile as traders return after the Labor Day holiday and OPEC+ is meeting Monday to discuss cutting output to support oil prices.

What are the implications for GBP?
Liz Truss stands out by having an agenda including popular policies, such as lowering taxes. On the contrary, Rishi Sunak is focused on tight fiscal policies, including raising corporate taxes.
In an already high-inflation environment, low taxes could push consumer prices even higher. The Bank of England is likely to step in and raise the interest rate in response, potentially supporting the GBP.
Therefore, if Liz Truss takes control of the UK government, the GBP may strengthen. The bearish sentiment for GBP may occur if Rishi Sunak wins.
