I found it more difficult today that USD was running the same direction as XAUUSD for longer time

There is strong resistance at this level,... the price has to go through it... then higher levels are possible. I took a partial profit at 2434. Now wait and see what happens.

It almost looks like MMs pulling out liquidity on purpose to cause these swings at the rate they are happening. It is ok to get some wash price action, that's part of the market. But not having multiple occurences of it happening in a span of few hours .. my bet is, its going suddenly to stop and with no action till next week. What an awful week it was anyway, as expected. That monday candle still engulfs every other this week. Effin monday, 99% of the time the quietest and worst day of the week.

have a look, this chart H4 I made 3 days ago, it is nearly the same like today. added the green line, see when it happened.
The difficulties where predictionable.
I cannot predict when an abrupt end will come. I'm just guessing. And that can be wrong.

the double bottom is for me also a sign of buyers strenght
Edit: but beware, we may also get a trigger to the downside. Gold is still very risky!

I doubt anyone but you can read your charts...

I predicted bad week on monday and it truly delivered, just todays first 3 NY hours were plain awful. This price action (80% of movement happening in 10$ range with wild swings) happens once or twice a month mostly. And as I predicted, volatility is suddenly gone. I still hope for a late friday rally.

Nope nothing happened. This was MM's field day, insanely bad and random movement, just like most of the week. How many sellers were here after monday only to end up at 2430 again with 4 inside bars to the monday bar. And the oddly thing, we broke last weeks low only to completely reverse. Washing at every level, every timeframe in a week with zero news.
