A bearish engulfing candle has formed on the AUDCHF Monthly chart. My plan is to wait for a signal to short this pair using the Daily chart.

What you think of BTCUSD Daily candle about to close Bullish Engulfing then? above a key trendline too, I think we might see a rally to 48k..we can finally end this dumb range

Well I really hope these Btc bears go hibernate somewhere, they keep jeering "0! I've been using candle patterns on the 4 hour charts.

Actually, I would very much like to see it go back to 20k (test its 2017 ATH). But it doesn't look like that is going to happen. It's pumping again. If it keeps this up, it won't be long before FOMO kicks in, and then it will get stupid bullish again.

Ya! 20k is a sound support level to buy again, I wished it had done so earlier then bounce so we wouldn't waste time in the range. I'm hoping this time we get another bull charge and a break from boring motions

I don't think we can blame them, the poor sheep think btc moves like penny stocks. Yes I'll bet they're poor stock traders, they come from a world where 20% change is amazing, so they see btc's volatility and correlate it to penny stocks. They are not willing to study the past when btc toppled from its aths but never came close to zero, btc is immortal this way..but sheep will be sheep

Ahh, anyway it seems like I've distracted the thread's main topic, I should stop talking about btc

Do engulfing candles give you an edge, I've really seen no evidence that they do?

It's a good pattern. Whether or not it gives you an edge depends on your strategy.

It sounds like this thread is not for you. I hope you have not come here to argue. I don't want to have to ban you from the thread for being disruptive. If you have issues with engulfing candles and prefer not to bother with them, then it would probably be best to avoid this thread.

engulfing form is important for me, I usually use D1 n H4, if there is a trend whether down or up, then I always will look for 2 candle forms, 1 is engulfing and the other is pinbar to estimate it will reversal or not also prev engulfing will be my baseline for marking supply and demand areas

Thanks for your reply, I have no issues with engulfing candles at all, it's just I don't really see why they're significant on their own. Sorry if I worded my reply wrong, there was no attempt to argue, but if you want me gone just say so.....
