in reviewing my TSL on this, it was set at 1915. spreads on this pair can be anywhere from as low as 6-9 up to 15 during active market hours (off market is way more & not relevant here) ... oanda's platform shows they exchanged this pair at a maximum high of 1905. the "High Ask" showing on the daily chart was 1910 but on the daily chart, price didn't travel thru there. however, when moving down in time frame, the "High Ask" is as much as 1916 (spread of 11 pips).
oanda's explanation:
OANDA: High Ask overlay shows that at 21:25EDT on a 5 min chart, the high ask is 0.19169. ... because the high ask is the highest ask price over that certain time period. So the highest ask over an hour would probably be different than the highest price over 1 day.The smaller the time frame you choose, the more accurate the price would be.
even w/ using 9 pip spread which is usually the case during tokyo, i would have been stopped out of this one.
note to self: add or subtract 12 to my AUDNZD SL's. uggh.
anyway, now, this pair is trading at 1720 ... & is well past my 1:1 RRR on the first 1% & is up another 200 or so pips on the remaining 1% ...
this bucket shop has put me on tilt.
