Hello everyone,
Introduction
I’ve been a long time silent guest of Forex Factory and have gained a lot from it. I especially admire the serious dedication shown by some teachers and masters here and wish to thank them all. I don’t think I’ll have to name them all here, if you’ve gained something from someone then you know who they are.
I’ve spent a number of years trading as well as research into market order, of which the two major components being price and time. I work with both time and price projection and would like to share it here, focusing on timing, since price projections are being widely covered in most of the other threads in FF. These projected timings consistently point to either a trend reversal or a breakout. Combine both price and time projections in your trading and you may see some magic happening in your trading lifestyle.
Objective:
I’m interested to see how members are utilizing this piece of information along with their existing indicators and strategies. Any style and aspect of trading can be discussed, i.e., MTF, Trend Following, Breakouts, etc. Catching a signal around these timings are often highly rewarding. For example, I’ve noticed many times that DIBS works out well at these projected time areas.
A little detail:
The projected timings will most of the time result in either a Reversal or a Breakout, and that, being either a major or a minor one. Quite often it results in a pullback. For simplicity purpose and to remind ourselves what these timings often point to, we’ll call it RPBT areas, R- Reversal, P – Pullback (a minor reversal), B – Breakout, T - Time or Timing, so we don’t have to repeat these words again and again.
A Word of Caution To Newbies
Although trading around these projected time areas can be tremendously fruitful, those new to Forex should observe caution here. At times, price activity during these timings can be very volatile and may take sudden turns in direction and may require quick decisions. You may probably want to avoid trading around RPBTs as opposed to trading during it. Please make sure that you have sufficient practice or trading hours and trading rules to handle these situations. Always use a protective stop loss.
Disclaimer: Please Read…its not the usual one
The objective of this thread is not to discuss the “Hows” of time projection. I’m not at the liberty to discuss the methods being used to derive these timings, but sufficient to say that they have proven to be highly accurate and reliable most of the time. Yes, “most of the time”, not “all the time”. We have projections that tell us much in advance the most likelyhood time areas of strong price movements and make the best use of it.
Thank you for your time. For a start, I will post a few past examples and future intraday RPBTs soon. Hope it will work out well for everyone to gain some pips.
“The time factor and time periods are most important in determining a change in trend because time can over balance price, and when the time is up the volume of sales will increase and force prices higher or lower” - W.D. Gann
Best Wishes and Happy Trading.
