The price moves like we're going up and down stairs. The problem is that the operators have no patience and want to take the elevator.

The opening price today was 33.029. We will only sell and look for a SELL STOP when the price crosses below the opening price. As long as the price is above the opening price, we will only look for tops and place BUY STOP.

Hey buddy - I am using AxiTrader MT4 which has a server time of GMT+3. My opening could be different to other brokers for sure. Means too that the candles will form differently. Principal still the same - Buy Stop order above latest High if price is above the open or Sell Stop order below latest Low if price is below the open.

The OP has suggested various ways to skin this cat - work out which one suits your style and make it your own.
1. Daily Open 200 move
2. H4 Sail Trade looking for breakout at the 17.00 candle
3. Crate / Stairstep trades where pending orders are placed above or below latest highs & lows with stops of 20 above or below the Opening Price. Target at least 50% of the StopLoss. Use the ADR to tell you where you are during the day and help to see if price has room to travel.

I am not around a chart for the H4 Sail Trade 1700 time frame ( 3am here in NZ ) so that leaves me the Daily Open which I will adjust to suit my style or I can look at the new highs/lows forming throughout the day and place Stop Orders as needed. Thanks to Forex1x8 for the ideas. I have had a look at these strategies on other high volume / fast moving instruments as well and they look promising too. ( Bitcoin / Dax / HangSeng ) Principals are all the same.

currently - 26% ADR - 131 pips,its early plenty more to come

Adding to your already excellent illustration, the ADR was already at 370 and therefore a good reason to use a TP = +50.

I am in oz and I place mine ar11:30 to 12:00pm and I have had no issues hitting TPs.

How's it Froggy - the DJ30 opens here at 11am NZ & there seems to be enough volumes to move 1 direction or the other. looks promising

Just running demo on US30 for now and sticking with original forex1x8. Simple enough so far at least on winner every nights. If I stay up to trades I trade the H/L pivots as per rules.

When trading during the day I focus on scalping gold nothing else move much unless news. The AUD did well today

Yes it is very simple,I got 37 pips earlier and went for 1:1 risk reward according to my chart,each broker has shifted price,after initial low of the day broken,SL was 20 pips above OP

Hi, i do not get it. According to what strategy you have placed orders?

daily how/high before 1600 is clear.
buy stop is 100 pips from daily opening.

Green lines is your orders.
Blue lines daily High/low

What i do not understand is, why non of these buy/sell stop fit one of 2 strategies.

P.S.
It might be H4 candle high low before market open, but then we have different candle heights, because those levels of buy/sell does not fit to my broker H4

WooDex,you need to calculate the highs and lows right now,place pending orders buy/sell SL as suggested 20 pips below OP when buying and 20 pips above for selling....volume,volatility all present at the moment,this is where ADR shots to maximum on,best time for taking profit

At 32 pips in profit,target was 41 ,I will NEVER watch my SL (83 pips) being hit without moving into break even.If I don't do this,I rather sit in a casino all day and gamble.That's why we TRADE,you can change the outcome,reduce risk increase profit before the game is over!
