RE UP on jpy gbp and euro??Right
I'm extremely annoyed at my EU, my s/l was at 3018 and it hit it exactly n look at it nowbut it's okay i guess cuz it was break even n lost nothing on eu..

Yup, you get the occasional day like this that you just cannot cater for, even on the daily charts.
The last 3 NFP's have been similar....
2 months ago I got stopped out on a couple of trades, then the price went the direction of my trades which was annoying!
Last month I got stopped out as I was on the wrong side of the price direction.
This month, I was on the right side of the price direction & I made some pips.
Over the year I figure it will work itself out and often the news doesn't have quite the effect trading on dailys as it does shorter term. My backtesting included days like these & still ended up positive so will just stick to the plan.

i know what you mean about being stopped out and having the trade go your way. It pisses me off so much that I rather take a straight loss then to have stopped out and have the market reverses in your favor. As if the forex market is toying with you!
. The way GU & EU have dropped since the announcement suggests to me they may not have bottomed out yet but we'll see...

OK, at my parent's PC again. Have put 4 new trades on as I must per the plan although the market isn't giving me a clear signal. It's the first time I've gone opposite directions on GU & EU live so let's see....
USDJPY long from 120.47 (s/l 119.38 guarantees minus 109 pips)
USDCAD short from 1.1778 (s/l 1.1813 guarantees minus 35 pips)
GBPUSD long from 1.9442 (s/l 1.9306 guarantees minus 136 pips)
EURUSD short from 1.2892 (s/l 1.3026 guarantees minus 134 pips)
USDCHF long from 1.2261 (s/l 1.2401 guarantees plus 140 pips)
So, worst case scenario here (apart from my parent's PC blowing up too) is minus 274 pips. Heck, that GU long has dropped 17 pips just as I wrote this - that used to happen a lot when I couldn't trade lol.
Not really in the mood for this but must stay positive.

Stay positive man!!!You know, in some weird way I tend to see each person that posts in FF as their avatar. In my case it is completely misleading, I am far from the super-musculous angry man that I selected (maybe I am trying to overcompensate?). But in your case your avatar transmits peace of mind. And as a matter of fact, your trding style does the same. So...stay positive!!!!
Ok...now down to business. The risky thing that I have noticed in your system is that if the direction is wrong in either the GU or the EU the loss might be big. That is what happened to me during the last NFP and I am still trying to recover from it...well..to be honest...that and some other screw-ups when deciding the direction of some later trades. Any way...I am sending you tons of positive energy. Your system is so simple that I really hope it will work for me (and show me some profits if I am able to define the right direction in my trades!!!). That will kill or do the system at the end of the day!!! (at least for me)
I do this all the time with the majors usaly i'll be $ short/long on 3 and use the 4th one as a hege my self

Well, thats refreshing to know that seasoned traders do this too - so far its working fine - GU up 130 pips & EU down 40, although won't be locking in any profit until Monday at least.
As I said it's the first time I've done this live but the candles strongly suggested it. I guess it's happened on a number of occasions before but I backtested all the pairs independently of each other.

However, trades are currently about 400 pips up so we should lock some more pips in by Monday night on these trades Well, another week over and all 5 trades still open..........
USDJPY long from 120.47 (s/l at 120.05 guarantees minus 42 pips)
USDCAD short from 1.1778 (s/l at 1.1793 guarantees minus 15 pips)
GBPUSD long from 1.9442 (s/l at 1.9417 guarantees minus 25 pips)
EURUSD short from 1.2892 (s/l at 1.2954 guarantees minus 62 pips)
USDCHF long from 1.2261 (s/l at 1.2438 guarantees plus 177 pips)
So, if all trades are stopped out at their current positions we have a grand profit of 33 pips

Hello Steve, I took a WAG as to both the GBPUSD and the USDCAD last night and was stopped out of both positions. With your system do i wait for sunday afternoon in my case to re enter the trades or go ahead and place trades friday at 3 pm my time translates to about time you normaly post.Please pardon if this was answered in another post as i must have missed it thanks again im having very good results with this system.
