DislikedDepends on situation, but trailing stop to let trade run after taken halv profitIgnored
DislikedI am curious about something. Does anyone use the trailing stop as a means to take profit? Or do you use it in conjunction with a Take Profit? When you run with the market, which strategy should one go with? thanks.Ignored
Disliked{quote} It all depends on your trading style. If you are an intraday trader, then you may have to use the trailing stop in conjunction with your take profit so as to lock in more profit while also protecting your trade. My trading style is swing and there is usually alot of price fluctuation before the profit target is hit. So setting a trailing stop in such a case will mean you have the trailing stop hit before the actual take profitIgnored

DislikedAs most have already said it completly depends on your trading style but i want to show you an example of myself. I attached a image of my current cad/jpy long position. The black strokes show you where i approximately moved my stop-loss each day a few pips under the low of the past day so the price have enough "room" to breathe. Once the price break a lower low it will trigger my stop-loss. {image}Ignored
DislikedThank you for your advice but i see too much uncertainty in this market at the moment for a wider SL.Ignored
Disliked{quote} Yes nobody can predict the market with certainly at all, for that reason SL is more appropriate to reduce loss but you have to know when and how to use proper Stop loss. otherwise you cant avoid huge losses.Ignored
