You have to insert only 2 legs of spread trading....and it gives to you entries point in real time (it sends notifications if u want)

Advisor gives also:
- Z score of spread
- Correlation % between two legs
- Legs Volatility and Volatility ratio if u want to trade BALANCED spread trading

It works with all symbols present into your MT4 terminal and on all TimeFrames

Spread trading or Pair trading is a “non directional” way to trade with Forex or CFDs, etc.
You take two pairs that are directly correlated and trade long the one that is relatively stronger than the other, while you trade short the weaker.
In this way you buy the stronger one and sell the weaker one.

How does it work?

“Non directional” approach to Forex Spread trading

Since the two pairs tend to move in the same direction, if the one that you traded long is in gain, probably the one that you’re trading short is in loss. But you “bet” on the fact that the one that you traded long will gain more than the loss you’re taking with the one you’re trading short as it is actually “stronger” than the other. This is a “non directional” trading as you don’t care anymore about the trend as your gain comes from the relative gain/loss between the two pairs.

Rules:

  1. choose two pairs that are strongly correlated (> 70%)
  2. wait for the moment when a pair becomes “stronger” than the other and you go long that one and short the other


“Directional” approach to Forex Spread trading

The steps are exactly the same described above but you choose two inversely correlated pairs (Ex. EURUSD/USDCHF) instead of directly correlated. That may expose you to higher risks but it also usually leads to bigger profits.

Example on most famous pairtrading on Commodities: GOLD /SILVER

I have loaded your indicator on my demo mt4 platform and all looks good. I have it on the pair gold and silver 1 hour chart. How do I determine when one pair becomes stronger from looking at your indicator.

Hi Koh Samet!

To determine which pair is stronger/weaker it's very easy: u have only to read indicator:

pair LONG indicates that pair in that moment it's stronger
pair SHORT indicates that pair in that moment it's weaker

Indicator tells also when this condition started: last cross indicates when 2 pairs strength crossed

Using Z score

The Z-scoreis the number of standard deviations a given data point lies from the mean. To calculate Z-score, simply subtract the mean from each data point and divide the result by the standard deviation. For data points that are below the mean, the Z-score is negative. In most large data sets, 99% of values have a Z-score between -3 and 3, meaning they lie within three standard deviations above and below the mean

In this example NZDCHF/GBPNZD .....signal started 25-Jen and now we are +275 pips.....but Z score says +2.95

It means that spread is very very high so could be a good idea close the trades and take to home +275pips

No, if 2 pairs have negative correlation pairtrading is DIRECTIONAL one so one leg is LONG and second one is SHORT

Both DIRECTIONAL and NOT-DIRECTIONAL approach one pair is LONG and second one is SHORT....of course DIRECTIONAL approach has a higher risk

If u enable Show_Signal_Crosses (from indicator setting panel) it show to u all signal.....so u can have an idea how it works
