Disliked{quote} Sry for re-opening this thread. You assume that the market is infinite, but in fact investing more than 10-15 lots will typically move the market against your position due to the counter-trade your trade partner must take. I would feel quite bad if I had to trade with multiple millions leveraged only in forex, because it would mean more stress to find all the pairs to place some of your 100 lots... even if you rely on daily TF. DislikedWhats the purpose of this thread here? There are lot of people funding forex accounts with even far more than a million dollars. DislikedI have heard of traders setting off a cascade of stops on purpose by trading a fairly small amount, maybe a few million, at just the right time, like very illiquid Sydney trading, but I'm not sure if it's true or just myth. I suppose it is possible, at least in theory. Daily FX volume is about $5 trillion, so a few million is a tiny amount, but there are very illiquid times when only small amounts are being traded.Ignored
Disliked{quote} 10-15 lot is 1 - 1.5 million. That may be a lot for you or most other people reading this, it certainly isn't much in the FX market. It will not have an impact on the market, it's a drop in the ocean actually. Liquid pairs during liquid times can fill that order at best available price (top of the book). I'm trading short term for small movements with more than 4 times as much, I'm still not a market moving big player. My account size is confidential, I don't gain anything by disclosing it just like most other people with significant account...Ignored
