Disliked{quote} Hi GodsClown Sorry to be a pain in the backside but I've got a question for you regards the CCI alerts on the TTindy which is confusing me a bit?? Wonder if you could help?? I'm trying to set up the CCI alerts so that it alerts me when my 1 minute charts CCI's go overbought or oversold and I can't workout the right settings. I have the TF1 set to 5 minute so that it opens the top 4 trenders from the TTindy so I would like to know when these 4 charts go oversold in an uptrend or overbought in a down trend?? I run these 4 top trenders on 1...Ignored
Disliked{quote} So to be clear, you have the top-4 5-minutes pairs open on timeframe 1-minute and want to be alert, when one of those top-4 went back from oversold/overbought? Or when they went overbought/oversold? Give it a try! {file} The settings should be: ChangeChartSymbol = 1; extern int tf1 = 5; extern int tf1malength = whatever; extern int tf1matype = whatever; extern int tf2 = 1; extern int CCi_Alert_tf2 = true; In that case, the TTindy should alert you when the top-4 1-minute charts went back from oversold/overbought with opening the top-4 5-minute...Ignored
Disliked{quote} Thanks , to confirm I want to be alerted when a strong downtrender CCI goes overbought(above the +100 level) and vice versa so when a strong uptrenders CCI goes oversold(below -100 level) Will give this one a run see how it goes... Have set it up like this , is it right?? {image} Appears to be working fine so thanks for that will let you know how it goes..Ignored
Disliked{quote} I have changed it according to you. But normaly a cci alert is in uptrend when cci goes back over -100. {file} PS: Set CCi_Alert_tf2 = true, not to 1. CCi_Alert_tf1 = false. With your settings, the TTindy will calculate the top 8 pairs. If you want just the top 4 pairs, set topPairs = 4.Ignored
1. It could give us a TP to TTindy system (mean TTindy plus 35 and 175 LWMA, main Clives system now).
2. It can exclude certain riskier entries (for example entries far out H1 or M15 bands)
3. It gives sense where we are in terms of average range of a move.
4. Important: It can give as an early warning signal that the move has ended and we can wait for a change of color in 175 LWMA and entry in opposite direction.
a. Clives CCI entry described here: http://www.forexfactory.com/showthre...54#post8463154
b. Breakout of a previous hi/lo.
c. Entry after touching a lower band in an uptrend and upper in a downtrend eventually plus an support and resistance present (we need to work it out).
d. .
1. LWMAs crossed and start to separate.
2. Price moved up through a local high
3. Clives CCI signal on a green support line.
DislikedHi folks I am reading posts from 340-400 and I found that there was another interesting system (three Hurst bands on M5, M15, H1), described well by Clive in post 7057........... First step would be a separate thread for this, I am not sure If I can start this. In the first post should be a reference to Clives post http://www.forexfactory.com/showthre...25#post8363725 post or even (If Clive agrees please Clive do ) and also a complete set of indicators. Then we should describe (or work out at this moment) methods of entry...Ignored
Disliked{quote} Hi Twobooks Sounds like a good idea to me and yes there is plenty of merit in the three Hurst bands introduced by Devontrader so I am sure he would like to be involved in any such work as he has studied it very closely.... As for starting a new thread with this system yes please do and feel free to take any indicators etc that you need from this thread...You have my full support. I think it is perfect timing because I am finding my time very scarce at the moment between my business and my trading so I would step back into the background...Ignored
DislikedHurst uses envelopes not bands...also 2 envelopes not three Please read pdf and pictures ive posted to.see 2onlyIgnored
