DislikedHi all I've been studying ways to try to get the best entry and exits like everyone else I guess. There's plenty of options with Quantum that's for sure, but as you know, I want to try to keep dd minimal for the way I trade for reasons explained in previous posts. Next week I hope to have a preliminary modified strategy in place that blends the important aspects such as ob/os, number of orders, when to take some orders off the table, order sizing, close all etc. I'm attaching a preview chart of m15 GU that basically illustrates my angle (the blue...Ignored
I have been patiently waiting for you to do ALL the work on the Quantum SlowMo version , but perhaps I should wake up and attempt to contribute something myself... but first, may I ask what the indicator is in the lower panel - I can see it's a sloooow oscillator, but which one, please ?
I know mer and others are happy as it stands, but the position sizing approach is not something I would seriously consider. I understand the idea is to keep minimal risk in the beginning, but given that at least a $10k account is needed, what's the point of trading 0.01 lots ? The idea is to increase size as the signal generation continues, as the further away from the first signal in the sequence, the larger the potential profits. That's the good news - the bad news is that on those rare trades which go seriously against us, you will have maximum size on = maximum loss. And it is a form of martingale, as pos size is increased, rather than simply averaged down.
So I like your approach, LL, which as far as I can see is to find a repeatable ruleset to start entering (& exiting) positions at places of obvious SR and/or OB/OS areas - also using longer timeframes.
Who cares if some trades are missed as long as the big losers are avoided ? A marathon, not a sprint etc etc...
