Seems like this thread has died as of late. Domino if you're still around I have a few questions for you.
1. When you long AUD/USD you get paid the IRD on the pair, that makes sense. But when I short a pair like EUR/AUD shouldn't I get paid on the IRD as well? I mean I'm essentially buying AUD and shorting EUR. Somehow on my Oanda account it doesn't work that way. The IRD is the same whether you long or short the pair. Is that normal or is it only Oanda doing this?
2. When building positions on equities like REI/UN.TO, do you reinvest the dividends it pays out every month to take advantage of compounding or do you just pocket the money? What about stocks that only pay quarterly dividends and not monthly?
This is a great thread, lets keep it going!
