First of all, greetings for all of the members of this forum. This is my first post here.
I´m a newbie in forex. I have paper traded several months and since four months ago I´m trading a live account.
In the beginning I studied a lot TA and I continue considering it a very importatnt tool and trying to learn something new each time I have the opportunity.
But, after a time, I decided I will day trade based on fundamentals and up to this moment I´m surviving with my live account as a yo-yo growing very slowly, but growing at the end.
I have a part time work that is becoming more and more as a full time job, then my trading time is being reduced.
From some months ago I decided to start paper trading a grid system in two currencies. The results were very good but I notice the dangerous limits when a trend becomes a too strong one.
I continued the experiment analyzing different currencies, different distances between the lines, different correlations between currencies, different combinations of ATRs, etc, and the results continued being reasonably good.
But at the same time I found very few material into forex forums in general about this subject and I´m thinking that that could be because traders must have arrived to a negative conclusion about grid trading.
Please considering I´m a newbie, could some more experienced members of this community give me their opinions about this system and the reasons why it could be abandonned by the traders?
Good trading for all
P.S.: I´ve have been in the OANDA forum and seems nobody arrived to a definitive conclusion
