Disliked{quote} I have been investigating a similar idea with combining the swing, fast HAS (3,3,3,3) and slow HAS2 (2,21,2,13) in Basket Trader TS, adding 3-Level-ZZ-Semafor and STC(10,12,26) indicators for confirmation. The idea is when all are in agreement and the time of day is appropriate then manually start the basket or pair trade. Here is one I watched yesterday: {image} PS: I have not decided yet to leave HAS2 in the mixed or not yet, still investigating.Ignored

Disliked{quote} With all the best wishes for a very prosperous new year to fellow traders, also continuing to explore specific baskets (starting with AUDNZD as suggested by JustUncleL) using HAS (1/3/1/3) and HAS2 (1/21/1/13) as the trade trigger on lower timeframes with varying DB SL/EL/TP setting on Basket Trader TS, chasing consistency and automation as much as possible. Hope to share some results soon.Ignored
DislikedI found Gene's HAS and Swing entry interesting. I am doing a test and would like to share some thoughts. 2 tests i am investigating: 1 for baskets and 1 for single pairs. Both are on a higher 4H TF. I am using both HAS (1,1,1,1) direction and Swing as entry. For Swing look back, i changed it to 3 bars (this is equivalent to 12 hours vs the default 7 hrs on the hourly). Exit for now, is opposite swing. I will be trying HAS color change and Equity Lock later. As we know, our DB has a lot of options for exit and this will really depend on the trader's...Ignored
Disliked{quote} Good adaption going to a 4hr chart of fast HAS+Swing idea, personally I still favor a HAS with just a small amount of smoothing like (3,2,3,2), but that probably won't make a lot of difference to (1,1,1,1). I was looking at cutting the Swing Lookback to 4 on 1hr charts, because I believe we really want the HAS to break fast away from the swing point.Ignored
DislikedGene, What is the reason why these pairs opened a short trade on this situation, when the color of the HAS on the current candle is blue? {image} {image} EDIT: At the same time, that confusion was most likely, caused by the flash crash that just occured. Lesson: Avoid trading on the first week of January (and last 2 weeks of December), at least.Ignored
Disliked{quote} The direction is short in both cases, it is looking at the previous "CLOSED" candle, not the present open candle, which can flip back and forth, thats why it uses the previous closed candle for direction.Ignored
DislikedHAS + SWING on H4 update. One closed by EL. Other is still open. Edit: The EL was 50/25...appears it is too tight as the other one is still pushing higher. I will try 100/60 on the next batch. {image} {image}Ignored
