Disliked... I must be blunt here in stating that it has no application here as we are seeking to incorporate that feature into a fully automated EA and not as part of a semi-auto system.Ignored
I am interested in running test of your strategy using a couple other promising filters. I will only share the first filter until after I see how the testing goes.
I really like and agree with the idea of using momentum to manually select pairs to trade. One thread that seems to be showing promise using momentum/strength and ADR is https://www.forexfactory.com/showthread.php?t=712390. They are claiming great success live forward testing and are posting some impressive screen shots. No TE are being posted so that puts some questions in my mind about their claimed results. The weakness of their strat is trade management and money management from what I see. I want to test on Monday combining the fibo to select pairs using Mjyoung's rules 1-3 and Philip Lee's Forex-RM-V2-4.ex4 EA for trade management and money management.
I hope someone would be nice enough to help me with the settings in Forex-RM-V2-4.ex4 EA so it will do the following for my test. I will post a TE to show the results of the testing. I will be selecting manually the pairs to trade and direction. I am not sure on a few of the inputs selections of the EA and a little help would be nice please. Maybe a screen shot of the settings I need to input or set file for the EA to do the following.
1. trade in direction I choose only, no trades to be taken in opposite direction, so no hedge
2. If trade goes right, it reverse Martys the trade to a take profit of 100.00
3. 25.00 stop loss so a 4-1 risk reward ratio
4. Turns off after reaching take profit on 100.00
I think this is all I need, if you see I missed something please show me.
Cheers
DislikedRegarding back testing of 2.2 - 2.4 version. I have managed to get good results using non hybrid settings over a year of back tests. Then when applied to the year previous,it blows account. so make adjustments to get through two years and return drops. same again on year three. im around 40-50% a year return with a 22% draw down over a 3 consecutive years on eurusd If others are claiming good results in back testing please can you report your profit and draw down /pairs etc so we can discuss settings. If you have only tested over a small period...Ignored
DislikedI'm trading this live now Buy, One Cycle Only on USD/JPY and AUD/CAD, 2 pairs I believe are oversold, and are less likely to hit the 200 SL Only 0.01 lot for now, ~30 pip Universal TP Will add to size and pairs traded if it performs as expected. Backtesting has been promising, fingers crossed live is as good. Thanks Phillip for sharing this and to all the coders who have contributed.Ignored
