@stefdek, @all: I made a lot of backtests and foreward tests and I always ran in huge DD and my account blowed up. That means to me, that the EAs in this thread are not surviving longer trends...

I got now from bgntrs the attached concept to hopefully reduce DD and hopefully the account will not blow up.

I would like you to have a look about this concept and maybe xjhamil or rodolfolm could do the coding.

I' m sure, that this concept works. So give him a try.....

Our expectation for hedging is not to profit more,but only to strict the loss and on V3-2 it does this.After some order, hedging is useful for this purpose.İ think if we can develop it with some other options ,it will be better. Perhaps we can do it by putting trail stop on hedge order.

İ will try to explain.
For example hedge order trigered after 5 order later.İts lot amount will be calculated as to stop on some amount pips to reach some profit(This profit amount will be calculated as total pip profit with other orders).And also hedge order will have another stop order as recovery on some pips later.By the way if prices go on the right of hedge order,then orders will be closed on some pips later when planned total pip profit came.And also if prices turns inverse to the hedge order ,the new hedge of hedge order will be openned and will be closed on that planned total pip profit.On pip profit option there may be some loosses but when hedge order triggered some looses must be considered.

Eitherly We can arrange hedge order to close when come back to the openning price also.

Hedging is pure maths and complex formula. So, excellent idea to implement BUT hard to code ( I guess) . An easy add-on to any of the shared EA here would be look for Breakeven when grid reach level = x .... I personnally began to be worried when I see a level 7 being opened ..and all I want at this time is to close the grid @ BE or even an acceptable 2 or 3 pips in the RED instead of "asking" this f** candle to go a little more down or up ...lol.

I am using this Indicator ( attached) : in picture below this is the thick greenline , if trading both side you will have two lines red and green ...BE for the buys BE for the sells. Screenshot is not from my ECN broker , nor is related to XBest or Il* ,Trio* ...thus just illustrative.

I am also testing this grid on a different way ...as a night scalper on the Asian session ...on pairs where NO news release , speech, etc. might affect the ranging
behaviour. So, on the Asian I will avoid JPY NZD and AUD crosses. GBPCHF , GBPUSD , GBPCAD, CADCHF, USDCAD,USDCHF,EURCHF, etc....are worth testing.
Getting in half an hour after NY close and not starting new grid at maybe GMT 5:00 or 6:00 . Be sure I am not over with this. In pending coding task , I still need
"my" buttons Start Buy , Start Sell , Close all (on this chart/magic) , another button needed ?? Start Hedge ?

Usefull tool is the BBSqueeze indi ( attached) ...when Bollingers Bands widen we are for sure in a trend ...when they squeeze creating a kind of up/down "channel"
we are in a ranging market ...a special momentum for our grid. This phenomenon mostly occurs during Asian sessions on pairs mentioned above.

So , XBest Night scalper Settings are ALSO interesting to be tested ..thank you to those who would like to embrace this concept and test with me. For night scalping maybe a 1 MN TF or 5Min TF will be more adapted ( IMO) ..while at LO ...a TF of 30 minutes could be a total discovery anyone tested ? So, do not throw the towel too soon , lot of work/testing has still to be done.

@rodolfolm: would you be able to integrate this concept from bgntrs into the EA? I think it would be a huge effort for the EA.

Cycle:
EA open positions over position and after many positions taken then at some point EA manages to take all profits or BE's and starts to wait for appropriate next entries.

If we call this 1 cycle for EA, is it possible to add an option for giving the number of cycles to trade? If I want it run just for 1 or 2 cycles and stop trading, then I will choose Number of cycles to trade option so EA makes the given number of cycles then stays flat without taking further positions till next manual run.

The aim is minimizing the risk by reducing the time passed in the market and staying flat after making some profit in a user predifined "safe market condition"

That will be very useful if we can subjectively identify a ranging area in the market for some period of time. Then we set it for running just 1 or 2 cycles depending on the predicted ranging duration.
There are no weapons that will form against my financial prosperity.
