Rave(/Oldskool) mixes (those which I've come across anyway) mostly tend to have following flaws -audio quality is abysmal, too many overplayed hits, or the mix is "good" because nostalgy bias (hard to avoid unless you're brand new to specific style, except there wasn't really any one style in old rave days) or 'famous DJ equals quality' - my taste doesn't really align with most famous DJ's.
This however manages to avoid all those flaws. Plenty of songs I've never heard, decent audio quality, some songs I've heard before sound like mixes I haven't heard (possibly custom made for this set?).
I listened the tape 3 first and 2 after it. I think 2 starts with more popular songs but is a bit overbearing. 3 starts very slow and gets better slowly.
