Hey,

I am looking for an indicator that puts a monthly/weekly atr range on my charts?

I have this ADR indicator to show the type of display that I am after.

This ADR is set for 14 days, you can show it on any timeframe of course.

Right now, for EURUSD, the average daily range is 158 pips.

This indicator will draw high & low lines from the CURRENT day's price high & low, to show when it will meet the AVERAGE Range.

When the range is hit, the lines will stay fixed and be displayed as solid lines.

So, I am after something the same for WEEKLY data, it would start on Monday morning, and plot a high & low line from the Weekly price high & low.

Any programmers out there, or any suggestions most welcome, thanks, E.

I was just wondering if you were able to find what you were looking for. I am looking for the exact same thing! I´ve been using the !SM ADR Marker for years, but I would like the same thing for the weekly range but I´ve found nothing online until I came across this thread where you ask for exactly what I am looking for!

Please let me know if you had any luck with your search...

Wow, first post, big request, but I shall supply, I found something that does that and much more

See this chart below:

1. Market open times displayed eg. F = Frankfurt, Lo = London

2. Round numbers displayed eg. 0.7700, as well as half & quarter eg. 0.7750 and 0.7725

3. Range Day High / Low, can be set to you desire, eg. 10 days or 20 days

4. Range Week High / Low, can be set to your desire, eg. 10 weeks or 20 weeks

Download the PVSRA 08-01-2015 file, un-zip it

In there you will find the #2 Access Panel Black or White as you like

***** BE WARNED : There is a learning curve required to set this up to operate properly *****

Instructions are within the Indicators and can be viewed using MQL Editor, beyond most of your capability so I attached as Word doc

Especially the first page you will need to understand

PS - and I'm not tech support

There are other useful indicators in the zip file you may be able to use

Hello Erebus,

Wow! Thank you so much! I was not expecting an answer so quick and so detailed and useful as this one...very kind of you!

I´ve been playing around with the indicator and it´s pretty much what I need... It´s not perfect bu it is good enough...

To be perfect I would need the Weekly Range Line to be continuous from Monday to Friday and not only appear on the current trading day but I can´t complain..

That interesting .
I have tried to find exactly the same Indciator.
Because of my Backtests I can honestly say that this is a very important part for my Exit-Profit-targets for sure.
Would be awesome if a coder could help with this.

DWMRAnges gives the projected range plus a handy range display in the upper left corner. The second D1 W1 M1 Ranges are the highs and lows of the previous period , also very useful. Drop the size on the font so you dont clutter the screen. Weekly open with targets is fairly useful as well. It does have a bug that erases objects , such as rectangles , after you drop them on screen.

It does have a bug that erases objects , such as rectangles

Its not a bug it is simply poor programming, I should know as it is a renamed version of an indicator I coded way back in 2006 before I knew better, the issue is these lines of code.

 ObjectsDeleteAll(0,OBJ_RECTANGLE);

  ObjectsDeleteAll(0,OBJ_TEXT);

I suspect the original indicator "MTF_HI_LOW_v1" ( a fixed version which is posted somewhere on this Forum ) is identical to the above indicator.

i would like to have a dashboard showing present pips,20 days atr ranges in pips and percentage in the bracket for all high tf like below

I know I shouldn't bother, because the cost of indicator is probably bigger than your account.

These types of indicator cannot be shared, they won't work on another computer

erebus i got your point but dont talk about if the cost of indcator is bigger than my account or not? how do u know if i am a begger or millionaire?
