Those of you who had real patience and held your longs through the doldrums of these past few weeks: I salute you. Hope you took some profit today. I did, too!

If YOU were in charge of posting news, you'd want to err on the side of posting more information rather than less. And as I have a EUR/CHF long at 1.2030, it's nice to be reminded of things like this. ...Besides, who'd bet against the makers of the ...

eab — Yep, this is the EA builder code... I suggest you use another template to build EAs, but if you insist on using this, you have to mess with the IsTrade variable. Essentially, change it to a double variable, and have every OrderSend add ...

Looks like the trading system itself is probably alright, but you could always try improving the money management. Maybe incorporate ATR into your TP/SL calculations, use anti-martingale lot progression when adding onto positions, or scale in to ...

Simulator — kk007, One thing you might try is this... it's an 'EA' and a set of scripts that allow you to use the visual backtester as a trading simulator. I haven't played around with it enough to know whether you could use semi-automatic ...

Hmm — Er... why don't you just backtest it? If you're curious exactly how it behaves when the price reaches certain levels, then turn on 'visual backtesting' and just watch your EA at work. Just make sure to choose a historical period during ...

CodeMeister, You're probably right... I have a overactive tendency to think strategies can pull through, even if they're on the weaker side to begin with. As for learning coding lessons -- I actually joined this forum for the purpose of getting ...

Preliminary Testing — Hey there, I thought this strategy looked interesting, so I coded a rough EA for it. Not sure if anyone's still trading this method, but the backtest (Feb. '10 - Feb. '11) wasn't so great. See attached image. PF of ...
