Hi Bob. Maybe the breakout system using s/r could be turned into a fully automated ea. Instead of placing pendings, the ea would just enter when PA moves to the trigger point. It could automatically set the SL at the opposite s/r line and either use ...

Because so many pairs are correlated, I found when the trend started 10 of my 12 range pairs went into DD. I was trading 20cent lots on a 3800 account. It would of been much better if I had not tried to recover all 10 pairs, but rather shut some ...

Hi Bob, That's a great idea. I think you should add in post #1 of you ctr and range threads the closing of trades using the %DD rule and also just as important, the lot size of 1cent per $500.

If you use a stop at 100pips and then reenter at the same lot size you will need 100pips to BE. If you use a stop and then reenter at the same lot size the hedge would of been, you would then only need 50 pips to BE. When closing a hedge you then ...

My example was if you had a predetermined amount of pips lost before a hedge trade ie 100. If you hedge at 100 and price retraces back to original trade, your still left with the hedge. Exact same as using a stop, then price retracing. If you don't ...

Hi Bob, can you tell me why this would not work? Some traders in the US are annoyed about not being able to hedge. I have an idea that effectively does the exact same thing. Censura hedges at 100 and recovers later and this is considered a good ...

Hi Starlogic, I was trading the same pairs as Bob (low volatile) Things have gone really downhill for me. I traded my account from $2500 up to $3600 over 3 or 4 months trading .02 standard lots. BUT....after the recent trending my account took a ...

My current DD is at 65%. Made a few hundred pips last week from recovery trades and used this profit to part close some positions. Will see what next week brings. I'm going to keep trading as per NB10 rules until I either BE or blow the ...

Bob when PA is sitting fairly steady and their is no real counter trading to be done, like the usd/jpy at the moment, do you turn on the 1h ctr?

Nice trading Bob. I was just looking at the 3ma's on the weekly. They give a fairly accurate picture of support and resistance on the larger scale. They could come in useful, especially when deciding to part-close some positions during recovery.

For some reason I just had a usdjpy buy placed??? Entry criteria wasn't met yet it still entered

lol It's good to see you rising to the challenge. What made you close the gbp/usd?

Thanks for your hard work Bob. I am in the same recoveries as you. I currently have the same OI ea's on my charts, but i'm still deciding whether to hedge some or not. I have to make the right decision because this will either make or break me ...

I am able to hedge. Would you suggest hedging certain trades at double lot size? My current positions in big DD are: chf/jpy buy eur/gbp sell (not too worried about this) nzd/jpy buy usd/cad sell gbp/usd buy cad/jpy buy aud/usd buy aud/jpy buy ...

Well this will certainly test 10.0. I am currently at about 55% DD. Currently 7700 pips in DD. I recovered from that g/c trade I posted earlier after using profits to close L1 and then PA had a nice run up to BE for L2/3. I couldn't just get out ...

I have a suggestion for this ea. I consider it to have legs. Hopefully it could be coded. Set pendings at previous day hi/low. No TP or SL When one order is triggered, automatically adjust the other pending to double lot size. If at the end of the ...

g/c recovery — Here is my current g/c recovery. As you can see ctr took the 1st level right at the start of the DT. I then hedged at 100 pips. After PA steadied, I thought I would close the hedge and counter off the 1h ctr. As you can see PA ...

Bob, would you recommend this course of action as per attached ea? I have this hedged and would need a 50 pip retrace to BE. Or I could just close the buy trade and enter a new sell off the ctr ea.
- Frodog replied Sep 12, 2011
Hi Dave, you can use the OI (outside in) recovery ea in the 10.0#2 ea folder. This is what most of us use. Just set and forget

Bob, When in recovery do you use 10.0 recovery for L2,L3 trades off the daily chart 100% of the time. I know you don't always go for full recovery on first attempt, but do you always re-enter l2,3 off the daily 2ma?
