Hi followers of Mr Pip. I'm ploughing through Carney's, Harmonic Trading vol 1. A very basic question - apologies in advance. Does an XA leg 'exist' because it helps to confirm a pattern; over and beyond the standard ABCD? Example - the perfect ...

Rush2112, thanks for the posts. I only trade forex on the 1 hour timeframe. It's great to see some of your trading plan/thinking. Thanks for the share. I took May off, but will happily share here when I start trading again. Very much in learning ...

Thanks for the confirmation. Expectation failures seem to be good signals to trade.

Thanks for sharing. Now I know why you're +78R on a rolling quarter. Why only 1/10th of a position?

I see this quite a lot on 1h forex pairs. 1. Would you have entered a short trade after the expectation failure? 2. If not at the point of failure, where? 3. Perhaps not at all?

How I made $2,000,000 in the Stock Market by Nicolas Darvas. There are a few books which I've been pointed towards over the last 12 months or so. This was one of them. I got it as an audio book, which meant I could run as well as listen. The most ...

Are these adaptions talked about in this thread? Appreciate, traders are more likely to simply find their own way, based on experience. Depending on how you manage your trades, the first three could have closed at breakeven, if your stop is moved ...

If it's not the same system anymore, what is it and when did it change? This thread is large, which makes it challenging to find 'stuff'.

As per Hansl's comments, I add this a) because I'm learning too and b) hindsight makes everything easier. The first two shorts appear to conflict with structure, assuming we're looking at short term order flow. Off the NSL, there was an almost ...

Congratulations, a good morning's work. What made you hang on to the first trade? You gave up nearly all your profit at around 09:50 but hung in there. In fact you must have been convinced of staying long because you opened the second trade.

Thanks for posting. Your charts are always worth a look because of the comments. That looks like a really tricky day. After the NSL and then a second weaker one, were you not tempted to go long. I guess that would be a counter trend trade. When does ...

A question for you fine traders. After the NSH, there is an expectation failure. My entry would have been the orange arrow. An easy decision to make in hindsight. But would you have waited until price reached the HL (red square) on the short term ...

Thank you Pair-me-up or should that be St.Paul? As I suspected, the answers lie buried in time. I will continue my quest working through the archives.

I've been working through Damian's YT videos. Is there any specific information anywhere on the trades he lists in his trading plan? I'm referring to the SOS 1-4. I haven't been through any of the live sessions yet apart from last weeks, so it may ...

I'm a nubee with Damian's, 'trade what you see', but I do trade Forex. You touch on a point I made a couple of weeks ago. Do you trade one or two pairs, or do you have a bigger watchlist? Part of the answer to that question is timeframe, are you an ...

[quote=JeanValJean.;12167192]There is a big difference between a demo account and a live account. You can have very good results with a demo account and have a very bad result when you go live. It's not the same game. I agree. Losing your own money ...

Okay thanks. I assumed, wrongly, that Pair-me-up was already a 'cold hard cash' player. (Not that it makes any difference in terms of the great information provided). Thanks for the advice as well. I've temporarily stopped trading while I assimilate ...

Your notes on Mr Pip's videos have been really helpful. It's a steep learning curve at times and having your perspective on a particular video was great. I'm not sure why anyone would give you flack about the way you trade? Even though we are all ...

Thank you for the examples and advice. Very helpful. The quality of response on this thread is excellent.

I appreciate that a lot of the dialogue here is focused on the e-minis. Is the polarisation with the NQ and YM, because of the preference for a shorter timeframe? I currently trade forex on an hourly timeframe? Do the forex traders following this ...
