Haven't posted for some time, but discovered this thread and system. One of the things that got my attention is how active the thread still is. Trying it myself, i love it. With 4 hour bars the action at the "bar open" part of the strategy is one ...

Just started looking at this, but you don't enter until the 1st candle closes and the TDI has crossed. So the earliest you could enter is on the open of the second candle. As for the repainting issue, i haven't seen any issue with the TDI repainting ...

add on positions: stop management — Tony, I'm liking this a lot. I'm really liking how it keeps me out of the mess at tops and bottoms. I like trailing the stop on the 4 hour using the 3 bar trailing stop. Been riding the EUR down and have ...

Buddhi, certainly wasn't addressing this just to you. Just addressing a very common issue that keeps surfacing....frustration and lack of paitence of not having a system and having it now. Left to itself it becomes very negative a reason for real ...

[quote=buddhi;1763982]skunny is stirring up a hornet's nest here; traders are getting frustrated (and for good reason). [frustration: the interruption of a goal directed action, which sometimes results in violence!] quote] Have quietly followed this ...

Don't know what TK does as he hasn't said yet. I've looked at reentering at the breakout of the bar when the indicator has turned back to the main trend direction. I'm not happy with that though. Seems like too much risk for me. Jimno

Scrat, nice seeing u again. U are so right about the divergence issue. We traders are a funny bunch as we try and refine things to make it work. I am doing the same as you. Trendline filter, MA filter, etc. The problem as i see it is that we (me) ...

I think Sky has it right. Look at his post just above and very nice screen shot that shows it. Let see if i can answer some other questions. 1. Enter at the close of the first bar showing an OSMA (not price) in the oppostie direction, there is no ...
- james275 replied Nov 29, 2007
When the OSMA bar changes direction, and that bar closes, you enter in that direction . Maybe price goes against u for a while and u are stopped out (50 pip) but u will do well in the long run. Make sense? Tk, please correct me if i have it wrong..

The system as TK has outlined is based on his experience using a 1 hour timeframe. It works for him. Maybe this time frame doesn't work for you. I highlighted in RED something you said. A HUGE part of trading is the execution of the system u use. ...
