Still not too many trades for EUR/AUD H1 & H4 — I've continued to adjust various settings and have also looked at some other H1 and H4 set files that have been posted here. This past week I did get a few more trades on the H1 than usual, ...

Thanks. I am going to try some of those adjustments.

Just curious, I'm still learning. Why would that prevent my trades? The Trix isn't even reaching that level, and I don't want to buy if it's too high or sell if it's too low anyway. Isn't that what that setting is for? Maybe I am unclear on exactly ...

Still no trades — I have been testing the EUR/AUD charts at H1 and H4. I have tweaked a couple of settings over the past 2 1/2 weeks, but as of yet, the H1 has still not taken any trades whatsoever, even since I turned off the patterns and the ...

Finally a trade or two. — Since turning off the patterns, my EUR/AUD H4 chart has finally had a couple of trades this week. A loser on Monday (-81 pips) and one that is currently a winner, but hasn't closed yet (currently +100 pips). I also ...

I had already turned off the higher TF Ichmoku, but I think I will follow suit, as Karun also said, and turn off the patterns to see what happens tomorrow (as I am trading these charts during the Asia/London sessions). Thanks for the responses.

Well, I am certainly a beginner when it comes to all of this, still learning the ins and outs of forex trading, indicators, THV and EAs, so I could easily be wrong. But neither one of my charts has made a single trade all week and I thought that the ...

Still no trades on the EUR/AUD H1 or H4. There must be a setting that is preventing me from having any trades. A few times it has looked as though there should have been. On the current H1 for example. Below are some screens and my .set files.

No, the computer is running great, it's pretty strong. The CPU is running at 2-4%.

Here is an example of a trade that I think should be happening, but isn't. Something must be wrong in my settings, but I cannot figure out what. The setting are in post #620.

Karun, Any ideas in regard to my post #620?

Still no trades — I made those few changes, but I still haven't had any trades. EA is up on EUR/AUD, H1 and H4 running during the Asia/London markets. Here are my current .set files and pics of my charts, any problems there?

Just wanted to check if my settings are correct. Here are my set files. I'm on the EUR/AUD H1 & H4. Asia/London markets. No trades yet. The longperiod MTF Cloud setting seems to be the reason. All other indicators look good right now (9:30am EST)

And do we change the EA settings as well as the MTF indicator settings?
- Sefton replied May 21, 2009
Here's another curious trade. It takes the pattern signal to Buy even though the slow trix is red and not in the up direction and the MTFs are also not indicating to Buy when the trade is made.
- Sefton replied May 20, 2009
Agreed.
- Sefton replied May 20, 2009
You are probably right about that, however, so far using the Patterns has been very profitable. I suppose my question is why the SlowTrixSameDirection was ignored. As someone else asked, is there a hierarchy where certain indicators can cause other ...
- Sefton replied May 20, 2009
curious trade — SlowTrixSameDirection is set to "true" so I'm not sure why it took this trade to sell. Any thoughts?

I too am fairly new to Forex and to THV, but have been reading and learning and testing my manual trading using the THV system on a Demo account. I have also been running the EA on a few M5 pairs, experimenting with different settings and would be ...
