Mr Pip , This AB=CD only just touches the 38.2, would you see this as a valid set up, Is it a trade you would consider, does the retracement level indicate more bearish strength and less likely to reverse, I like the confluence , the only thing I ...

I'm looking at hopefully an AB=CD on a CD leg of a potential Bat pattern for some confluence image
- Damien1881 replied Jan 14, 2013
I believe it's valid, what I also liked was the AB=CD that formed on the CD leg and both D points were exactly the same image

I've entered the EURGBP 4 hr short at 0.8280 after the market opened , I hoped that price would immediately drop to fill the gap but it wasn't to be. I do see it as an ABCD , all comments welcome image

Sorry , here it is with the X leg - as measured as well as I can the D completion actually exceeds 78.6 a little bit if each leg were to turn on a dime at the 61.8 , I guess this is where back testing and fine tuning rules of engagement come into ...

Yes the perfect pattern does with a 61.8 retracement making it an ABCD image

It maybe an invalid Gartley or Bat, I've been trading Bats that after entry have formed double tops entering at 88.6 with a stop above X and been doing ok. This one I decided to wait for the ABCD completion at 127 ext which gives me 20 pip stop for ...
