The U.S dollar has been gaining strength over the past 6 months partly due to the Trump initiatives, but all the while they engage in quantitative easing activities, shouldnt the currency start to weaken due to an over supply of it in circulation and the current state of limited production going on worldwide?

Im not against Trump or anything,. But what i mean is that the effect in terms of economics has been positive for the USD and Q.E should impact it negatively (Atleast on paper). Apart from forex, i also have an import based business and i order majority of my stock from U.S Based businesses, they have been increasing their prices at wild rates, while the dollar has also been gaining strength. My question is that, with the current state of Global production and U.S being the Largest consumer, wont this affect their currency when consumable goods start to drop in quantity?
