  • RBA: Given these effects of lower interest rates and the long and variable lags in the transmission of monetary policy, the Board decided to hold the cash rate steady at this meeting while it continues to monitor developments, including in the labour market. https://t.co/LNb4TuT5Ci

Of course AUD will go up. Stop reading the lless important negative news and focus on the KEY IMPORTANT NEWS which is:

RBA: the Board decided to hold the cash rate steady at this meeting while it continues to monitor developments, including in the labour market. the holding for the interest rate(Unchanged rate means no cuts means good for AUD currency and no commitment to cut rates also means good for AUD currency)

GLOBAL EXPECTATIONS OF FURTHER MONETARY EASING HAVE GENERALLY BEEN SCALED BACK(No commitment to cut rates in the future for Autrallia and all around the world means good for AUD currency)

When there is a focus on Interest Rates, the biggest price influencers out of all the frequent news events are: Interest Rate Statement, CPI, and Unemployment
