    A meeting between U.S. President Donald Trump and Chinese President Xi Jinping to sign a long-awaited interim trade deal could be delayed until December as discussions continue over terms and venue, a senior official of the Trump administration told Reuters on Wednesday. The official, who spoke on condition of anonymity, said it was still possible the “Phase One” agreement aimed at ending a damaging trade war would not be reached, but a deal was more likely than not. If you think about it the top ten banks investing in Forex contribute >75% of all currency exchange. This is not including the CBs or IMF, of which the CBs have been shown to be owned by the member banks including those same top ten investment banks.

So you could reasonably surmise that >95% of all currency exchange is controlled directly and indirectly by the top ten investment banks and their subsidiaries...

What you conclude from this information concerning manipulation is up to you.

I wouldn't complain about manipulation. Knowing it is there has made trading easier. What makes me sad is hearing traders losing money because of the 'randomness' of the market.

FX markets are heavily manipulated. Those who still question this should not be in FX markets. They can however be here, at FF, where Dumb Money gathers with all their useless online courses and signal systems.

But there are ways to read the manipulation, and trade it, as it is everyday volumes of some USD 5.5 trillion turnover. I have done FX for 20+ years now, 12 first - on - off, disappointing and losing and trying all kind of BS systems. Last 7 years; fine tuned other methods (will not call it "a System"), and doing it for a living.

So you think Trump needs to sit at "a dealing desk".....come on....you cant be serious. He has an army doing trades around his tweets, farts, sneezes, and other circus he makes. Additionally, same do the large 7-8 dominating FX banks, being fined multiple times for market manipulations, cartel activity and reltated trading crime. This is not something "to Wonder" about, it is a fact, proven and judged by many Courts in Europe and US.

Note: I am not here to argue if markets are manipilated, with rookies. This is already confirmed and old knowledge for me and some 15-20% other traders, helping me being successful last 7 years in FX markets. Why I am here….? One of my "indis" are to read some of the main strings to see the Dumb Money (DM) sentiments, and put it into my Equation, valuing the opposite moves. Smart Money (Banks and Market Makers) go against some 80% here in FF (DM). Have a nice day, and good trading.

I never stated that markets aren't being manipulated I said it was an understatement on how much markets have really been manipulated in the past few weeks. Trump also said a bunch of other things that he's backtracked on so why do you choose to hold him dear to this particular statement that he'll sign a deal that's beneficial for him. Banks are the markets they aren't scaring anyone they are the majority - why scare people who don't have the financial capital to truly compete.

Trump moves the markets currently because he's a sitting president. I'm not talking reality tv show Trump, I'm talking head of the white house as a sitting president Trump. You know the person making policies. It'd be naive to think some of his rhetoric hasn't moved the markets in anyway but I agree the whales either dispel what he's saying or use it to their advantage. It's just been a more opportune time to make money with the back and forth. Me as a trader I can't complain its definitely helped my trades out in the long run.

It's actually quite clever from the White House.....

They are saying... "China be reasonable and you'll have a shot at a favourable deal. Otherwise you'll miss your chance [ie exploit a desperate Trump before he gets impeached]".

There will be a phase 1 completion but it won't be pretty at all.

I would do as I am told by my client. For every sell there is a buy. If I get a bunch of sell orders, there are clients who are yelling "discount" I want to buy. The ones who will simply hold longer. The price will fall until its cheap enough for other " whales" to buy more, which will end the fall... for that moment.

Think about you ability to sell at all time highs or lows.... who's buying? Someone with deep pockets to hold for a very long time, and some hedges/risk management

It's not Trump who moves market, it's banks and other crooks. Trump said in Day 1: USA will sign the only deal, which is good for the USA. In other words, this deal won't be signed, which is OK to Trump. Banks just move the markets and try to scare everyone.

Tweets or social media can't move the markets, as they have no access to trade dealing rooms. Banks move the market based on Tweets, Facebook, Moon fazes and humidity in my back. Complaining about markets' manipulation is like complaining we have Sunrises and Dawns.
