    From cnbc.com

The U.S. and China have made progress in trade discussions and have come close to finalizing parts of a phase one deal, the Office of the U.S. Trade Representative said Friday. The agency issued a statement outlining the state of discussions following a conversation U.S. Trade Representative Robert Lighthizer and Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin had with Chinese Vice Premier Liu He. “They made headway on specific issues and the two sides are close to finalizing some sections of the agreement,” USTR said. “Discussions will go on continuously at the deputy level, and the principals will have another call in the ... China is priced in .

Rate cut priced in .

Not much else to price in now .

Earnings aren't keeping pace with market expectations but a good headline for a market needing drugs to stay at these levels

I think Hillary Clinton is LONG S&P until 3200. Which is in line with Goldman Sachs prediction. All printed money worldwide go directly to stock markets. Just attach your car's safety belt.

it's enough for Trump to tweet that December tariffs won't take off the table!!! in this case, the market direction will be reversed. whatever, if the phase one be signed and phase two will continue, Dow will go up above 27300 and s$p500 above 3200 and $index channel99. otherwise, DOW 26000, S@P500 2600 and $index channel 96.

I think shorts are closing out also that causes a big spike up but on the flip side there's enough upside momentum here for Trump to get tough on the Chinese again that's the usual pattern

They will be "signing" those 3 phases until November 2020, then they will make 10 phases and continue the process indefinite. You have to understand - this is the end of Globalism and Chinese economy.

I talked about taking off the December tariffs if you noticed. it's seem unlikely to me that Pres. Trump do it because it's the most important pressure instrument. you yourself are saying November 2020, dude it's now October 2019!!! we all know this that Mr trump the most important part will leave for months of near election for affecting on the election result. you meant the stock market will be high for one years?!!! no that's not so, I guess the stock market will fall for not taking off December tariffs.

Big banks and MMs wirwling up some old dust again, as they are trying to make some volatility and liquidity. On Donald, he may has the flu, but doubt it, as the bugs avoid him....LOL. Generally, he got his "plate full" right now, without that use to affect his lips activity….

Most people here are in the wrong business. You always complain about every news, tweet, market move. WTF? Thats how the market works and moves, if you can't handle it, this job is clearly not for you!

Its like if a football player complained about the opponent players wanting to take the ball from him.

Not sure if this one was for me. My comment on pump fake was just a stupid attempt to be funny on a friday night. Frankly I dont care what is going on as long as there is volatility. No volatility no money.

Took a short in dow around 27. Looks ok so far but intent to run it so who knows.

I do not by any means complain from a tradingmperspective. But leaving that aside it surely seems that the biggest concern is dow. The last couple of days has shown some weakness and wupti- a trade deal is close. This may be true. And it may well feed the stock markets with new power to reach new hights but at the end of the day it will not save the entire world from a recession that china buys more soybean. The markets does not work like that and it will respond to news ofcourse and as a trader I can only trade what I see nomatter how wrong I think it is fundamentally..

Enjoy the weekend.

Think complaining on FF is normal, I think, at least it is better than traders shouting calls that goes immediately the opposite direction. Shouting calls simply confuses new traders and the end result is EVEN more complains......

When inexperienced traders lose and complain on forums is kind of understandable confusion.

However when inexperienced traders lose because of lack of knowledge after which begin complaining to the regulatory bodies then The Money Security Systems around the world are making the life of knowledgeable and experienced retail traders very difficult by changing rules and tightening regulations.

Inexperienced retails should take this very seriously and step up their knowledge before risking their real money. This has become a really big issue and the outcome has high negative impact on the “middle class” experienced retailers as they suddenly need to deal with tighter regulations and difficult trading environments.

This is not criticism. It’s a honest and friendly advice.

Being from Oz and an experienced retail trader I hear you. I am totally snookered on another front, though. No broker will write naked futures options anymore. Have an account with a friendly US broker who is quite vocal about keeping client funds fastidiously segregated.

Gotta protect the inexperienced traders by shutting everyone out. re CFDs - yes, happening now. I think brokers do themselves a disservice by offering such insane leverage in the first place. Just looked at td365 - they seem cool, have some advantages over the outfit I use for CFDs.

There’s no problem with insane leverage. The problem comes from traders who do not know how to use it.

But I did. And I can tell you another version of if.

If you are a good driver and you get behind the wheel of a Formula One car, you will be able to drive faster than before without any significant problems (provided you don’t push too hard).

The same goes for the difference between low and high leverage (provided you are a good trader)
