It seems to me last time Zerohedge posted something about Brexit it spiked GBPUSD up only to have it spiked down when EU officials denied what Zerohedge posted. Is that considered fake news?

But of course the EU will grant an extension. And another, and another, and another...
Just take your time, Brits, no need to rush.

zerohedge was famed in the older days when it would spill a bean on EUR/USD and market acts to it.

Nowadays it had been over taken by live quacker, therefore take it with a fist of salt if you trade with it - expect Newton's 3rd law to kicks in.

Traders using news as fundemental factors in their trading need to be fully familiar with how media and the newscycle work and to always look behind aggregated media stories for original sources.
Its a little alarming that your post received two immediate likes suggesting that there may be a wider level misunderstanding on this issue.

“I am sure the system will produce what we need to get to an extension,” a senior EU source said. “We don’t care who it is, whether it is the prime minister or another representative of the executive.”

Norbert Röttgen, chairman of the German parliament’s foreign affairs committee and a senior Christian Democrat, said that an extension would be needed because Mr Johnson’s latest Brexit plans were “not serious and violate the law”, both in terms of the EU’s single market and the Benn act.

“He wants to ask the EU not to extend the deadline and proposes a backstop that de facto is a hard border,” he tweeted. “Not least to protect the sovereignty of the British parliament, EU should give long extension.”

The extensions that the UK government applied for in March 2019 were granted, by th EU based on UK reassurances that the time would be used prudently to provide credible and workable alternatives to replace the Backstop which had, due to the political "Tail wags Dog" role of the 12 DUP in supporting the UK governments paper thin majority, had become the prime focus for failure of UK Parliament to ratify the UK Governments 2017 negotiated and agreed W/A.
The UK government has now after 5 months of internal turmoil, loss of any possible majority with or without the dUP, totally incapable of carrying any legislation, produced a proposal. And presented it to the EU just 12 days before the scheduled Council of Ministers meeting 17th October. The proposal is accompanied by an ultimatum that this is the UK "Final Offer", and if not accepted will lead to a No-Deal in 28 days.

Thats the depth of dysfunction that exists in this developing situation on which a seismic repricing of GBP will be determined in the next weeks & months.
Just a Thought.
