German output growth remains moderate in June as sentiment weakens
German private sector output rose at a moderate overall pace at the end of the second quarter, according to the latest flash PMI® data from IHS Markit. The IHS Markit Flash Germany Composite Output Index – which is based on approximately 85% of usual monthly replies – registered a reading of 52.6 in June, unchanged from May. The PMI data signalled that growth during the second quarter as a whole was the strongest since the third quarter of 2018.
