German Zew June Econ Sentiment Preview
Shifts in international trade policy and domestic politics are expected to further reduce optimism among investors and analysts responding to the monthly poll from Germany’s ZEW economics institute. The ZEW’s forward-looking economic sentiment index for Germany is forecast to fall to -5.8 from May’s -2.1 result, which ended six consecutive monthly increases. The current situation index is expected to drop to 6.0 from last month’s reading of 8.2, the first rise in seven months. Economic expectations for the Eurozone fell sharply in May to -6.1 from 4.5.
