This conference is part of a first-ever public review by the Federal Open Market Committee of our monetary policy strategy, tools, and communications. We have a distinguished group of experts from academics and other walks of life here to share perspectives on how monetary policy can best serve the public. I’d like first to say a word about recent developments involving trade negotiations and other matters. We do not know how or when these issues will be resolved. These things take awhile to play out. The institutions need to get a couple of billion on and they cant do that on a 5min chart. The market will of course be manipulated to go in the wrong direction first so they can get their discount.

'Fed chair Powell says with economy growing, unemployment low, inflation low and stable, it's right time to rethink long-run strategies' - This sounds pretty hawkish. Definitely short Bonds, see how equities responds to this

the debt that the USA has today, is really the debt that the whole world has to thank and between all of them pay, Trump is working to start paying because they have reached the limit, they can not do it anymore.
To the extent that each country is grateful for paying the tariffs that are imposed, to that extent you can get a peaceful global state and stable for the first time ever in history..

FOMC is not ready to feed the assumption of interest rate cuts in downturn when inflation and unemployment number are intact. Not good for USD. Need some other development for USD to become strong like easing of trade tension, UK US deal etc.

The USD economy is very strong ... only Powell is concerned that a recession that has not yet recovered from the global economy can have an impact on the USD economy because in the next 10 years the global economy will experience an economic and economic crisis not yet able to consider whether it can increase economic growth or not

Not sure if it is hawkish or dovish, but I can sure that it's neutural and U.S is doing great now, nothing to consider exept in the long run that debt is out of control, and Fed can't control their policy
