More tariffs news strengthens USD... therefore greater USD buying power. US customer never feels the $ pain of the tarriff. Simple laundering of Govt money from one Govt to another? or was this too sceptical? Orders for China keep going business as usual...no difference to China ...no difference to US

check dow futures on M15. futures fell nearly 500 pts at monday open and retraced most of that during monday. I am not going to say "nearly closed the gap" because different brokers have different definitions of a gap on their charts based on the crazy idea of guaranteed stops (meaning that in some cases your stop can correctly be "jumped". then there was a fall of nearly 200 pts around NY close tuesday, and this drop is already retracing slightly. from a fundamental (non-technical) perspective. the comments from Trump, Lightizer and Mnuchin are not having much impact for medium to long term investors yet, although there is a very significant effect for traders who trade short time frames intraday.

Investors should be reducing their exposure to stocks anyway, irrespective of US-China trade, with indices at or near all time highs. Traders would be wise not to hold long dow/s&p positions overnight. Guaranteed stops are not nice, a loss is a loss. Rather trade something else like Hang Seng.

i understand your frustration with the AUD but i have been trading it over 30 years most times 90% of bad news will make AUD rise so people who trade it are keeping a eyes on it

OZ direction is always surprise you. Never try to trade with over leverage and you have to combine both Fundamental + Technical skill to trade the Koala OZ.
