Hedge fund managers are surprisingly stupid. All they have to do is make a few % return a year, but many cant't even do that. Those that beat the indices are deemed superstars.

"Nothing lasts forever!", forever is a subjective and weak concept because, for example, we still live in the planet Earth. A country has the power to make a reserve currency to last as much as the planet Earth. The key is hard to find but it's our job to find it.

I don't think you need to be a hedge fund manager much less a trader to understand economics and thus the value of the USD and why it remains the top reserve currency in the world today. Speculation otherwise should to any reasonable individual raise questions about the speculator and not the USD. The US would likely be a former shadow of itself if it lost it's well-deserved reserve currency status. Personally my fortune has been made by investing in the awesome power of the US economy. When everyone was selling in 2008/2009 I was loading up the wheel barrow as I am now in this minor correction.

China's number are more or less reliable. Otherwise Chinese economy would have collapsed long ago if they were cooking books. And its also impossible to grow exponentially without real growth as China has done in last 2-3 decades.

Looking at the monthly charts US 30 and frankly all the major indices it does appear to look like a correction, or on the other hand the beginning of a rather large reversal. I'm picking the latter,
But first US 30 25000 area and I sell then 17000 I'll look at being a buyer. Bell for the bear market has been rung and I am not going to get caught up in a sell off where my stop is not triggered

Because "trading billions!" automatically makes for a good trader. lolol Trading other people's money always makes for a good trader.

I'll take a good retail forex trader over a hedgie ANY DAY.
another propaganda fake news .... trade negotiation between Trump and Xi, u.s. treasury hold by China are the most important issue and for China is that only unique China., therefore Taiwan dont have to dream independence.
USD will not lose as reserve currency but will lose considerable share to accomodate other currencies.

Chinese economy and their 70 million uninhabited severally overvalued housing units are about to go kablooey,Ponzi schemes last only so long and time to pay piper is just around the corner. Economic slowdown which started about 2 years ago ,will be enough to cause a cash crunch.

The eclipse of the US economy by the Chinese economy is not a matter of IF but of WHEN.
Similarly the loss of USD reserve currency status.
To focus on that headline is to miss the point of this summary of Dalios comments, and his interesting take on Chinese cultural influences on their amazing economic miracle in the last 40 years.
